We stopped there on a motorcycle ride for a beer and appetizers. Once we were seated and the waitress came we ordered drinks. It took five minutes or more to get our drinks ! Three beers and a soda not that hard of an order ! Once we got our drinks we ordered three appetizers . It took almost forty minutes to get all of them . We saw a server come the door with our other two and he went to a different table with them. We heard him ask the table if these were their order, they replied one of them was and gave it to them. These people sat down and ordered after we did ! When the waiter asked if the last appetizer was ours we said yes and so was the one you gave to the other table. He never apologized for the mistake. Five minute later our cheese curds finally showed up. They were very disappointing for sure. Half of them were mainly the coating and very little cheese. We would have mentioned this to our waitress but she was never around ! We heard other tables around us complaining about the slow service and ordered being wrong. The next surprise is when our bill came and it had a twenty percent gratuity added to the bill. I've travel the world and been to many restaurants and never ever has there been an automatic tip for a table of four! Nowhere on the menu or signs we could see said anything about that ! When we asked to talk to a manager about the service and the automatic tip the server went back inside. She took the automatic tip off but the manager never showed up. It just shows lack of care for the customers !! This place is poorly managed and it shows. Also there is a state mandate for masks yet no one server or staff member was wearing one . It just shows how much management and the owner cares about staff or customers !!! DO yourself a favor and spent your money elsewhere. This was a very disappointing and we will never stop at this...
Read moreAt first it was great. I took my partner for his birthday to eat here. They lost my partner card and had us waiting an additional 20 minutes after we paid. Not only did they not find the card but they offered to call us back whether or not they found it. They did not. I called them to ask. They didnt even offer anything for the inconvenience. I would not eat here again. The cheese curds were good but Horrible customer service. Not worth it in my honest opinion. They said it rarely happens that they lose cards but that doesn’t matter. Not only that they lost our card they didnt even offer to give a discount or a refund I had to ask on the phone what they could do. Even after the fact we still didnt get the discount or refund because I asked them to call again if they havent found it and they said they did everything and still were looking so I asked them to call me back. How would this get resolved? A refund or discount simple. Even if they did accidentally lose the card how is that our responsibility? They did send someone to look under the deck for the lost card but they never found it. I get accidents happen but how it was handled sucks and they would be okay without our service again. Its more of the principle and lack of initiative to offer a refund or discount after this. I was nice about and even called again but they did not answer. Obviously the atmosphere sucked after they lost our card and I dont think the service was great only because they lost our card. the server was nice but its still a one star because we trusted them with his card and...
Read moreIf we could give zero stars we would. Terrible management experience. We ordered a menu item with an ingredient on the side. The order was made incorrectly with the item included in the dish. The waitress was so nice and offered to have it remade. Then on the second attempt, the items were omitted completely and when asked to have them, she said the manager said NO! The kitchen manager assumed there was an allergy and would not serve the table. That was not the case, as we just asked for the item on the side. First, a teenager presented herself as a manager and had a definite attitude with us and said we were "overheated," when all we did was explain the situation. Then a slightly more mature male manager had an even bigger chip on his shoulder came over and said, "what's the problem", with no apology etc. He said if there was an allergy at the table, he couldn't serve the item. We told him we never said there was an allergy. We said to forget all of it and just asked for the bill and he brought the bill with the item included on the bill even though we hadn't eaten it. We said we wanted the item removed, which he reluctantly did, but never once was there an apology for the error or the very poor customer service. There was ZERO management skill demonstrated and it was very disappointing. The waitress was wonderful though and none of this was her fault. She works with very poor management. I would recommend going to any other restaurant in town rather than the Boat house. These individuals ruined our attempt to have a nice...
