Ovation Coffee & Tea — Restaurant in Lake Oswego

I live across the highway (43), so I get to walk across the street for coffee. Sometimes I order my Americano with Moroccan spices! Oh my goodness! Surprisingly wonderful. Our Basset Hound Tucker loves Ovation because they serve pup cups, often hand delivered.

The most recent time I went was last week. I ordered mint tea. I was asked if I wanted it with the leaves. Oh yes!

Oh my gosh! My tea came served on a silver platter, in a silver pot with a cloth handle and two little glasses! And it tasted as good as it looked.

Everyone I’ve encountered who works there is delightful, friendly and pleasant. There’s just enough on the menu to have a delicious homemade treat or something more substantial like a salad or wrap.

It’s my go to place with my husband, family or to meet up with friends.

This place is a complete rip off, I went in and ordered a lavender matcha with oat milk which was originally 5.75 for a small but was charged 6.80 when I asked why the barista explained that there is an extra charge for the lavender and the oat milk for which I understood but I asked why i was being charged extra for lavender when the price is set on the menu specifically for the lavender matcha she couldn’t even give me a valid response she had no knowledge as to why it’s more for the lavender I said I would understand if I ordered just a matcha & added the lavender but why put a price for an item and then change it she said I don’t know but I’ll be sure to ask & she asked if I wanted to cancel and get a refund I said no I’ll just take it and never order from...

Im a regular customer, I patronize before work in the Am, on the weekends and sometimes late. I'm saying all this because I'm familiar with the habits of ovation. The young ladies are ALWAYS nothing but amazing, helpful, professional. Today...7/26/23 the young lady working this morning was not having a good one. It was 738AM came in for my regular coffee and scones, they typically ready by 740, the young lady was rude and combative. Her tone was unprofessional. She was on her phone in the kitchen area...gross...and wasn't customer service minded. I know we all have a bad start to our days.
