UPDATE July 29, 2025. Since Google won't let me do another review, I must add to an older one. Whoever took over the kitchen has done an outstanding job. They have a fried chicken special on Tuesdays and let me tell you it is top notch. Just like grandma's skillet fried chicken. The absolute best in Crossville. Salad was fresh, fried perfect and friendly staff. Our second visit so they are consistent. We will definitely be back to try other items on their menu. KUDOS TO THE NEW MANAGEMENT.
Not sure who took over this restaurant lately. I do know it has changed hands. We decided to five it a try and it was the worst food we have ever had in the Crossville area. My husband ordered the Tilapia and is was tasteless. It appeared to have been boiled no taste at all. I am not sure is was even Tilapia because it had red coloring to it. I ordered the shrimp which was supposed to be in their signature sauce. There was no sauce at all nor any flavoring, although they were a decent size. Did not get any sauces like cocktail sauce or tarter sauce. My husband had french fries and was not offered ketchup or anything. I would not have given it even one star....

Ordered hamburger steak, mashed potatoes and string beans. Oh, allow me a little context here. We retired to Crossville from New England. While my wife was recuperating from an operation a friend brought us some homemade hamburger steak and gravy, mashed potatoes and prob. a veg.....I really cannot remember. This was my first exposure to this dish. I could not stuff it into my face fast enough. If one Googles this dish under images it looked pretty much just like those pictured.. What did I get? Basically a 1/4 inch flat hamburger patty, mash potatoes that were just about pourable and overcooked canned string beans that kept falling off my fork 'cause they had no substance. Some gravy. The whole dish was far from hot. If this is the best you can do then close up shop...but before you do please clean out the abandoned large flower pot full of trash by the entry. That in itself...
Read moreThey pack patrons in like sardines in the dining room, which made it difficult for me to get around as I'm unsteady on my feet due to a back injury. (How someone in a wheelchair would get around in this place is beyond me) They charge about $18pp for the buffet, which wasn't worth it. The salad bar was pretty well stocked but the pineapple they had appeared to be old/dry & the selection of fruit was limited. The Irish buffet had multiple "Irish" selections, but not enough variety. The sausage w/vegetables had a slimy texture. The potatoes on the shepherds pie were dry. The roast was good. The potatoes with carrots & spinach were good. The dinner rolls were terrible - very dry and hard. The last time we visited was for the Father's Day buffet & had...
