The first day I went, They were regrouping from being sold out the day before, So the very nice Mother of the Brown family encouraged me to return the next day. I did and I was pleasantly pleased. I was offered sample, I sampled the rib tips, and hot link, that hot link had an excellent spicy taste and the sauce was fire 🔥 with a spicy kick to it also, in my opinion it could have been cooked a bit longer, but again I came right at the opening bell so They don't lose any points.I ordered a mini tip and small Perch. The tips were good, but they could be a bit more tender, I was customer #2 so maybe They weren't quite ready, but they were good and seasoned and the sauce married well with the meat. Now that Perch was fire 🔥 out the gate. The breading has a spicy after kick that is missing in all those other bland so called fish joints. I can't wait to return to get more of the offerings the Brown family has to offer. I also had the potato salad. It was good as well. I say when they get the minor kinks out they going to have a great...
Read moreThis was my 1st visit. I ordered in person at the restaurant. The people were friendly. I was there to try the rib tips, ribs, and turkey tips. They were out of all tips. I arrived a little after 8 and they close at 10. I ordered a ½ slab of ribs ($15)and a chopped steak sandwich ($9.50) for my wife instead. The chopped steak was satisfactory. Tne ribs were a little tough. I don't mind ribs with a little bite but these were genuinely tough. The ribs (6 ribs) were served mostly seperated but not completely cut through and I still needed a knife to separate them. The flavor wasn't very smokey at all. It's obvious that the ribs weren't cooked long enough to break down the collagen in the meat and the back membrane wasn't removed or else the meat would have been tender. The mild bbq sauce was very, very sweet. Also could have added more fries with the order. I'm not inspired to go back to try the pork or turkey tips. I hope this review helps Brown's and Family...
Read moreAs indecisive as I am when I’m hungry, I knew I needed something that would hit the spot and fulfill my soul—and let me tell you, this place delivered.
With so many restaurants having mixed reviews these days, it’s hard to decide where to spend your money. But this barbecue spot stood out right away. Not only were the reviews solid, but the food pictures looked amazing. That was already a good sign.
I trusted my gut, placed my order, and when the food arrived—it was still hot, sauced up perfectly (not drowning, not dry), and packed with flavor. I’m talking finger-lickin’, melt-in-your-mouth, barbecue heaven. Nothing was tough or overcooked. Everything was tender, juicy, and seasoned with love.
If you’re on the fence about trying this place, don’t overthink it—just go. You won’t be disappointed. And to the cook: thank you. Seriously. You did a phenomenal job. Please keep the consistency, because this meal was everything I hoped for and...
