Upon entering the establishment. I was right away. Brought back to one of my favorite places in New Mexico. An authentic Mexican cantina with all the proper decor. However, there was a little bit of Halloween festivities happening with the giant scary clown that affected my atmosphere rating a little lol. Plenty of room and the seating was comfortable and spacious. Not really jammed up on top of another customer. The weight staff was excellent, and got my highest tip on her that I give. We were served by three people. And the one young lady was very attentive. It came to our table many times to make sure that we were enjoying our meal or we're not in need of anything. The food was excellent and there was a lot of variety. Actually a little too much in my opinion. But all of the meals did allow me to find a dietary need meal that meant with some of my food allergies that I have. So I try not to be too hard on them for the size of their menu. But there is a lot. It was plenty of food on the plates and the service where you're given is very nice and big. All in all I did not give it a full five stars on all levels but I did give it a five-star. Overall. I would definitely go back. My daughter and I plan on returning and sharing one of their fajita deals that they give a break up price. If you do. A two for one. Enjoy your...
Read moreFirst time trying this restaurant out and I would say it was pretty disappointing. Wait staff was nice, but the place was very understaffed for a Friday night. Drinks/chips/salsa came out very quickly and we got our order in (two people). Then we waited…..for 55 minutes, almost walked out and then our food hit the table (5 minutes apart). Overall, the food was actually pretty good (Pollos tacos and fajitas) and I would probably give this place a 4 if everything went perfect. I know this place is new and they’re still working out the kinks, but the wait for food was ridiculous. Wait staff and expo were very apologetic about the long wait. Then we go to pay our check and no one was at the front cashing tables out, for over 10 minutes. We ran to an ATM and left the cash at the counter and left. I can’t imagine how long larger parties had to wait for their food. I would try this place again when it’s not as busy; I wouldn’t come here on a Friday or Saturday night. Great to have a Mexican restaurant at the Lake, but I have a feeling they may not last long if they continue that...
Read moreTried this place for the first time today and I was really dissatisfied, the waitress was friendly but my order came out wrong not once but twice. I am a vegetarian and had steak in the middle of my burrito the second time it came out and had no rice in my burrito which I requested twice, I had queso cheese ontop of my burrito which I asked them not to have at all, I wanted shredded cheese inside instead because I hate soggy burritos. And the first time my burrito came out I peeked inside and had 3 things inside of it that I requested not to be in there so I didn’t even take a bite. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was meat in that one as well. I will not be returning, hopefully they get a better staff...
