Edit- changing my 5 star because apparently experience will drastically differ based upon who's on staff for the evening. We were all excited to come back after our first experience, but the bartender, Storm, squashed that REAL fast. I've never felt like I was such an inconvenience to someone for just coming in for dinner. My wife and I watched this person's personality literally change between various people at the bar. When it was a gentleman who was drinking alone or with his buddies, she became the nicest person in the world. Then she'd come back to us, and suddenly she'd be extremely short with her questions, almost like she was snapping at us. Her tone would completely change, as if shed just been forced to do something she absolutely hated. Waited nearly 20 mins for our check or to get her attention so we could get our check and when it came time to pay, she handed us the check in such a manner that gave off the impression that yet again she was angry. Almost immediately put our card out and pushed it up to the edge of the bar, then waited for about 15-20 minutes before she finally remembered to close us out, while she began taking a bunch of drink orders that came in right after. We honestly thought she just didn't want our money or something. The only conclusion we could come to as to why she seemed so angry with us compared to the other patrons of the evening was that we were not there for alcohol and we weren't a young attractive couple. Maybe she thinks the better tips are in just booze and doesn't like to deal with food? She would have had a guaranteed 20% just for being a decent human being, but she failed to complete even that basic of a task, so we made sure her tip reflected her attitude/treatment. I'm not entirely sure, but Storm alone has us second-guessing coming back for a 3rd try. Maybe we'll try again one night if we see Nat is working.
Hands down best "small dive bar" feel in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the joint, but I was not prepared for just how tasty that pizza was going to be either. Our server Nat was awesome, super friendly, honest, attentive, great bartender personality. All around fantastic experience, it's so hard to find a spot like this that gets it right, there's really no truly good small dive spots around anymore, so when you find one, take advantage while you can! I will absolutely be coming back as often as I can. Literally everything on the menu looks good, and I want to try it all! Super stoked to have...
Read moreSweet Melissa’s seems like a a neighborhood pizza pub. They have outdoor seating. They have what seems like video gaming machines. They offer some specials during the week. The spinach artichoke dip was very good.it was served with warm pita chips. It was creamy and very tasty. The bruschetta was good the only thing I did not like about was the bread toasted. It said it was served on crisp Italian bread but our bread was anything but crisp. It was basically fresh bread top with all the toppings. The toppings were very good but it lack that crunchy bite you normally get. My friend order a large margarita. And we ordered a loaded margarita with extra pepperoni instead of the bacon. I was surprised to see how thin the crust was. It’s almost like a cracker crust. Also surprised to see a margarita. without fresh mozzarella. Except for the very thin crust the toppings on pizza was plentifully. We also ordered a piece of tiramisu since it was my friend’s birthday. The slice was delicious. The three of us actually split the slice since we were too full to have a slice for ourselves. I guess if you like your pizza crust thin this is the place for you. I would come back again to try their other foods. Their menu looks exciting enough...

First time trying Sweet Melissa's. Walked in and there was some heavy metal music playing. Slightly unexpected with the name Sweet Melissa's. Maybe it's sarcastic? I didn't mind it, just unexpected.
Ordered a pepperoni pizza, maybe my fault for not checking while in there but I trusted them.
Got home and it's black olive. To me, NASTY.
I called and told them I can return it so they'd believe me. I asked for a refund because I now no longer have time to wait and eat dinner.
I brought it in, and asked for a refund and the bartender said she's not sure how to do it. At this time the bar filled up and was busy.
She told me to call in the morning tomorrow and see if they can refund the money. They said they still had my original pizza and said I could have it. Cool, thanks. Old pizza.
They offered a dessert, but again I mentioned my shortness of time. I took my receipt back and left without a refund or dinner.
To conclude, they offered me my old sitting pizza (roughly 30 minutes since pickup) and a dessert. No refund.
I will try and call in the morning, but now I need to grab something...
