Fosters Freeze — Restaurant in Lakeport

10/10 recommend!!! My family did a day trip up at Russian Gulch State Park and needed to charge on the way home to Sacramento. We charged 9 minutes up the road next to a Baskin Robbins & Carl's Jr. I wanted a real burger and literally googled "burgers near me," and thank goodness I did because this place had good reviews! So good I had to check it out.

Spoiler alert!!! All the reviews about this place were right!!! Veronica was extra patient with our incessant questions and answered all of them even when she could have just told us to read the sign lol! We did the old fashioned, western bacon and double decker! Juicy! Perfect sauce! You have the option to order waffle fries or crinkle cut. I ordered extra krispy krinkle cut & I added raw onion to my burger. My picky teenager was happy with the old fashion and my hubby scarfed his western bacon down. They carry pepsi product drinks. To top it off we ate outside in front of a lake with a crescent moon peeking through!!! The weather was perfect at 8 pm! Before we left my teenager went to the rest room and the bathrooms were clean and she was super patient to unlock them past closing! Thank you Veronica!!!

When I head up to the coast to explore I will be sure to take this route instead of 28 just to support them. Did you know they've been around since 1946!? I can't wait to come back!

Expect to spend some money if you want to treat yourself to their stellar soft serve (a medium shake costs nearly $8! But can you really complain when they offer so many different flavors and super fresh toppings? Foster's Freeze is a true Northern California original and they have been getting edged out by the bigger fast food chains and rising cost of real estate, so if you are sick of seeing the same damn options on every block (McDonalds, Burger King, Applebees followed by McDonaods, Burger King, Applebees...YAWN...what happened to variety???) then remember this place next time you want fast food. Also, Fosters Freeze rocks In terms of quality. The place is clean, the kids that work there are polite and fast, and the buns are always fresh. If you are a fish sandwich fan like me, then you have to order one from Foster's Freeze. My only criticism- the wavy french...

Came in during lunch break. Ordered and waited over 30 min to get a simple burger combo. A school of kids came in after I was waiting for 15 min and the employees stopped what they were doing to get 30 kids ice cream first while all the paying customers had to wait. Our food was done just sitting there getting cold. Whem I simply asked if I could get my food I'm on lunch break the older women amd young girl both with nasty attitudes yelled back I need to wait they are busy. And I said buy my good is just sitting there getting cold amd I was here way before all these school kids. Absolutely worst service I've ever seen anywhere and very very rude.
