I'm updating my review as the past year the food has greatly improved! The cooks are pretty cool. You can see them thru the window opening from the kitchen to the restaurant and they always smile when they look up and make eye contact. Sometimes will even come out and see how you're doing. I did have one bad to go meal that I called in as soon as I got home and they comped my next meal and were understanding and apologetic. I'm not going to say what the meal was as I've ordered it again and it was delicious. I will say that the kids meals have all been great! Thanks for making improvements as we don't have a lot of options in this area. I appreciate the efforts made to make it a delicious spot to eat.
Last two times I ordered food from them it was bad. Both were to go phone orders. The server didn't know answers to most of my questions and thought that saying "sorry, I don't know" was an acceptable answer. I had to ask her to please ask someone that would know and then let me know. This happened several times. Then I asked how many ribs in a ½ slab and how much it costs. She said 5 ribs and it's $16. I asked how much per ribs if I buy them single and she said $3. When I was done laughing I asked her for 5 ribs at the single rib price so I would save a dollar and she was very confused. Had to explain to her that five ribs at $3 costs $15, she was still confused. So I bought four ribs instead and a rib dinner with two sides which I didn't get. Ribs were dry, crispy, over spiced and burnt on one side. When I say crispy I mean you could not bite into the top 2 inches of the rib meat. It was tougher then bone and dryer then the Sahara Desert. When I pay $43 (that's with a 10% tip, as I received 2% service it was a generous tip, especially for a to go order) for a meal, I expect something edible. I also expect all of the food to be there
A few days prior to that I called in an order for a pulled pork sandwich. It was so dry I couldn't even choke it down with a soda. Ended up tossing it out. It used to be a good place to eat. Sadly, I don't feel that way any longer.
No compensation as of yet. Should be giving one star but, I have had nice meals at there...
Read moreI got the T bone steak with loaded baked potato. The steak was extremely thin and dry like shoe leather. It was bad. The "loaded" baked potato looked to be maybe a half of a potato with a few bacon pieces and some shredded cheese. It really looked like whoever made this meal didn't care or didn't take any pride in this food.. I asked to swap out the corn on the cob that came as one of the sides ,and was told no,that they couldn't swap it. That's strange as I wasn't asking for additional at no cost, I was asking to replace the corn with something else. Apparently they were on a power trip, for some reason tonight. My husband's meal was okay. He said the meats were a bit dry and we had to pull the bark off of my daughter's pork rib, because it was too hard to eat. This was like the fifth or sixth time eating here, and its never consistent and always hit and miss. Last time I got a meal, with a salad bar and when my husband got there they had it closed and didn't want to open it even though it was part of my meal. She finally opened it up. It was just weird. I had to talk my husband into trying it one more time because it was Sunday and I really wanted steak, every other restaurant that had steak was closed and I couldn't be bothered to cook tonight. Needless to say I won't be asking my husband to go back again. It was bad and honestly the people who dealt with my husband just don't seem very nice. This was...
Read moreI'm a local and a regular and I went in last night to get one of my favorite burrito bowl and instead of giving me what I ordered they gave me the al pastor burrito. And maybe 6 pieces of meat. It was badly wrapped and the insides fell out as I picked it up. I called and complained and was told they would replace it. I go back this morning and explain my situation and received my al pastor burrito bowl. When I get home and open it it's a watery soupy mess it was beyond disgusting. And this is because the older woman who cooks my food normally does a amazing job. The man should be put on table cleaning and let the people who know how to cook do the job. The fat man who cooks does a very very bad job. It stands to reason why locals avoid them as the service from kitchen is spotty at best. The woman who cooks has never had any issues on any orders. I didn't order burrito soup and I spoke to him personally about the bad food he made. This is a huge issue. If the man cannot make a simple order, it goes to say he cannot do a more complicated one. I gave them a chance to make this right and they fail again. Personaly I'll be avoiding this place overall. There's a burrito truck up the way that doesn't screw up orders constantly and listens to the people paying for their service. I don't want "I'm sorry" I just want what I ordered to be right. Also the eel river blonde on tap is not carbonated right don't...
