Burritos was a soggy mess and no, I took one bite and spit it out it tasted like slop and gruel put in between a tortilla.
Well ordering there for the first time they asked how we would like our burrito and gave us our options. What they failed to tell us until we picked it up is that the options increased the cost of the burrito for $14 to $20. They were aware we had not been there before and never told us the 45% price increase based on options.
Somewhat of a bait and switch.
I used to do business with the owner, she needs to get her menus printed by us and it completely adds up I remember her attitude and how she would pinch every penny she was a very "memorable" woman. It's been a few years since I used to do business with her but I'll never forget the attitude she brought into our business.
I highly recommend checking out other places in the area such as Hobnob, 100% better quality service, attitude, and prices. You can get the best burger & fries in Richmond there for $13 vs SB charges $20 for a burrito and grits but not disclosing the up charges until it's too late.
If I could return my meal I would neither my wife nor I will be eating our burrito it'll be going into the trash we instead went to Hardee's on the way home because of how gross it looked and tasted. The messiest thing ever they cut it like a rap that you would get at a Wawa, not a burrito.
If you like vegan options go somewhere else there's plenty of places in Richmond.
If you like gimmicks such as edible glitter, instead of good quality food fair prices and don't really care about how your food tastes then I guess this is the place for you.
Will not be returning.

Read moreA charming Richmond gem that is much beloved by the local community! It has always been bustling when I've come, and full of people of all ages, folks just love this place! Just take it all in when you come in - and take pictures of the chalkboard (or at least take a look) with all the specials on it. There's always three themed specials, in addition to two quiches, plus the whole list of pancake flavors, and more! There's just so much to the menu, and the written menu is handwritten and references "Love Shack" the song.
The sweet potato hash is incredible, one of my favorite things on the menu, but everything I've tried has been delicious! There's also an option to add (edible) glitter to anything for $1, which my daughter loved, and her side of fruit that came with her unicorn pancakes was sparkly as well. One of the details I love here is the unique mugs they have if you get a hot beverage. It's just an incredibly thoughtful spot, and they apparently also have live music some nights! There are so many reasons people keep coming back!
They do have indoor and outdoor seating, as well as seats by the bar (they have an extensive list of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails/mocktails). The layout is a bit tight, and you would probably have a tough time fitting a large group inside (or a fairly long wait) but it's perfect for parties of 2-4 getting breakfast/brunch/lunch/etc. The service is incredibly friendly. Looking forward to trying their downtown location as well! Highly recommend for anyone in the mood...
Read moreLong story short go because it's worth the wait. You will love the Love Shack
If you want something negative to find in my review. The only thing I have to say is the salted caramel coffee wasn't hot just warm. But I'm still giving a 5 star because it was still good and I'm positive they would have replaced it if I asked.
Now to the good stuff. Everything about the rest of our meal was really good. I'm hesitant to give this review because I want to keep this place all to myself. But for the love of food I'll give it to you straight.
It was about a 20 min wait when we got there. We were offered seats outside but we preferred to sit inside. They finally sat us at the bar where we met the bartenders Jeremiah and David. Nice guys with good energy!
We weren't sure what to get so they helped us with the menu and suggested some of the most popular items. Their options are unique so don't feel ashamed to ask questions. I had the "Glitter on the Mattress" and my wife had the "Bang Bang on the Door" Bene. This was the first time I had glitter on my eggs and gravy over texas toast but it won't be my last. It was so good I almost ordered another. We also ordered some chai lattes that were for sure the best we had in a long time. With everything being so good we had to take something home so we left with a cinnamon roll that we destroyed...
