Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Laketon Township

Had to wait to be seated despite 2 employees standing there doing nothing. After a few minutes we got seated and the server says she'll be back in a min to get my drink order. 13 mins later she comes back and takes my drink and food order. When I told her I wanted the family special that was on the board by the door; she had no idea what I was talking about. Nonetheless she took my order and brought me bk my drinks 10 minutes later. I didn't see her again (half hr at this point) until she was passing my table to go to her newly sat customer's table and I got a quick "your food will be up in a minute". When my pizza got to the table it was supposed to be hand tossed but was so thin that once I cut the pizza because it was poorly cut; the slice ended up being more like a half slice because you had to fold it in half in order to hold it. I didn't see my server again until she brought me my bill at which point her only questions were "do you want dessert" to which I replied "no thanks" and "well do u want the bill or not" to which I wanted to say "no thanks" again but I said yes please. We like the bread sticks better at this Pizza Hut so even though we have a Pizza Hut in our town we drive north. However the reason I am writing in, is because of the staff. Mainly the manager Micheal. I think he has super management skills. A delivery went bad. He didn’t embarrass his employee, when he returned. He told him that something went wrong. The driver explained himself, Micheal patiently listened. He calmly spoke to his employee, wasn’t ridiculing, didn’t raise his voice, it was just “ OK TOMORROW is another day and we will figure things out. You get a good nights rest and we got this tomorrow!” Kind of inspiring talk. I will be back to the north Muskegon Pizza Hut again soon. I like to see managers still have the authority but knows how to keep it professional and pleasant for the workers. Thank you...

The staff was getting their butts kicked tonight 11/7 and they were still so friendly and went above and beyond for service. I had to wait an extra 5 min because of a mistake that they caught before even handing me the pizza and they were so apologetic and accommodating. My pizzas were special order, so it was not a big deal to wait a little longer because of a simple mistake but they still made sure to make me feel like my order mattered and it was so refreshing. Extra hats off to the two gentlemen cutting and packing the pizzas tonight. They walked my order out to me and explained what happened and sincerely apologized.
