I have been going to this restaurant for a very long time I will say my daughter-in-law used her birthday money and took our family out to dinner and I was served cold mashed potatoes my chicken fried steak was extremely tough and burnt we did not get all of our family's food at the same time as apparently someone pushed the wrong button and the wrong sandwich was made so therefore we did not even get we had to wait for our drinks to be refilled so therefore we asked for extras to be brought my son asked for ketchup four times and when the apparently owner came to discuss it with us she was very ugly she told me I was causing a scene whenever I had not even raised my voice yet she was and this was after she asked what we suggested she do because the food was half eaten and as I explained to her I will not be rude to a person who takes me out to eat dinner I will eat the food that is in front of me as I was raised not to be rude my ex-husband suggested that she discount our meal by half when she came back to the table she had taken 10% off of our bill and became very loud and ugly again and kept telling me I was causing a scene I am not the one who was causing a scene it was her one of the sandwich was was completely soggy and her excuse for that was because it was not left on the grill very long because she wanted him to have his food along with everybody else though we had already waited 10 minutes for the sandwich to be brought out in the first place she became very ugly whenever I told my daughter-in-law with the price was for dinner she raised her voice and said you know what take your food give me your bill I'm not going to take your money get out of my restaurant and don't bother coming back she told me not to write anything bad about her well I'm sorry her server was poorly trained she did not take the corrective criticism about her establishment and a positive manner when we talk to her we were all very nice we told her that typically we have a great experience and she said no I already understand you made your point I'm a terrible cook and I'm a terrible trainer have a nice day sadly I'm not sure if my...
Read moreBack to the 50's decor but the food was diffinitely 90's prepared , fast food or convenience foods you would fine in an institution. Like the school lunch program from that same period. My green beans were directly out of a can. The mashed potatoes were instant and if the gravy won't instant, I think instant could be a better choice. It was pretty bad for "homemade". The meatloaf was a skimpy portion of a mealy mixture which was seasoned nicely. The service was attentive and courteous. The atmosphere was welcoming and clean. If the diner is reading these comments, you can and should do better. There is a renewed demand for the comfort foods traditionally served in diners. You have a great opportunity to dazzle...
Read moreThis was the diner I grew up eating at with my grandparents for the last two decades. There is an assortment of food options. The waiters all know you and ask how the kids and spouse are doing. And there is a deck of cards at some of the tables if you want to play a card game. Additionally, for the kids, there is a super cool and iconic fish tank that I've been putting my face up to for as long as I can remember. To give this place anything less than a perfect score would be a desecration of...
