Best Dam BBQ Joint — Restaurant in Lakeway

We absolutely love everything we try here, seriously. Now we are super excited they are offering more low carb options since that's how we eat. We just had their chicken crust pizza and it was so delicious!! We have not found anywhere that actually serves a keto friendly/low carb pizza (when you dive into the ingredients they usually aren't keto friendly at all) and they seriously nailed it! The chicken crust is super yummy and they loaded it with tons of the toppings and served it with a side of jalapenos. They even made sure it was exactly how we wanted it with marinara instead of bbq sauce. We ordered two pizzas, but one would have been plenty with everything on it. They also work really well with us as we often have special requests to accommodate our diet. We have tried their brisket quesadilla which is fantastic...we even brought our own low carb tortillas and they were happy to use them for us. Their Texas Twinkie is also delicious and a good size and the portions are always plentiful. We HIGHLY recommend Best Dan BBQ Joint as it is one of our favorite spots- for our low carb days and our cheat days. The atmosphere is also awesome and we love just being able to hang out and relax. Nice place aesthetically, the outdoorsy, in-the-oaks concept. They have a miniature bull and a burrito! But I came for the food.

I got the chopped brisket sammy with the smoked mac n cheese, and broccoli salad. The sandwich was average size and really good. The bun was toasted, and they unapologetically put onions and pickles on it. 👍

The brisket had great texture and layers of flavor. Twas moist, smoky, and possessed hints of burnt ends. The broccoli salad was unexpectedly delicious. I personally do not like my mac n cheese smoked, so I'll refrain from comment. If it wasn't smoked, I probably would have found it fantastic.

Cost was average as far as bbq goes. I miss the days of 6.99 3 meat combo...

Would give them 10 stars if I could. I recently had my wedding near Best Dam BBQ and we asked if we could bring the whole wedding party over the night before for BBQ and drinks. They served food for nearly 100 people and everything was fresh and hot. Everyone couldn't stop talking about how good the brisket and ribs were.
