This is going to be a quick review because of the obvious characteristics of this place. The location has an amazing view, it's own parking garage, and even pretty good beer. I am giving this place a three star review because they were LITERALLY out of EVERYTHING on their menu except hotdogs and coleslaw. Another negative about this place is that their signage is pretty terrible so it is hard to figure out where they are located. There are signs saying that it is on the "third floor" but that doesn't really help much at all since the entire place is like a compound and can be kind of overwhelming to figure out where they are. We tried a few flights and the beers were pretty good. I actually enjoyed their IPA which probably means it doesn't really taste like an IPA since it wasn't really that bitter at all. The flavors were really fresh and crisp. There are lots of places to sit, stand, and even lounge. The view from the side of the patio on the water was amazing and it was also OPEN seating which is kind of nice. There are two bars. One is inside the main area and one is kind of outdoors. The little one does not have the same amount of options as the bigger one does so you should probably just go to the bigger one to get what you want. We ended up waiting in line in the small bar only to find out they were out of the beer we selected so we then had to go to the line in the main bar and ordered there. This was a waste of time and a bit annoying but once we got to the bar tender she was super friendly and got us our drinks very quickly. We watched the sun set and decided to eat dinner here but ended up leaving because they had no...
Read moreNice location and good sunset view. After that don’t bother staying. I went with my wife and son on a Saturday evening. We arrived around 6pm and got in line to order our food. We ordered some burgers for myself and my son and corn chowder and rice for my wife. It was around 6:30pm before we were at the counter to order our food. I was told I would get a text message when our food would be ready. After waiting for about 50 minutes, I walked back up to the counter and asked how much longer it would take. The kitchen person told me that moment that my order was ready and on the counter. But is wasn’t. It took him two more runs back to the kitchen to assemble our order from 2 different trays. After checking the tray I notice the corn chowder didn’t look like corn chowder and I was also told that the corn chowder was in fact French onion soup. I mentioned that this wasn’t what I ordered and the guys told me that there was corn in the soup and there was no corn chowder! What? Somewhat annoyed, I walked back to my table. My burger was barely warm and so my son’s kids burger which was a hard toasted bun with an incredibly thin burger patty which was dry and equally luke warm. There was no sauce, no pickles, nothing on the kids burger. I understand kids can be picky but a dry burger bun and a dry patty doesn’t make a great burger. Went back to the counter to get some ketchup and we ate some of the food as we were starving and then took off. While back in the car park - it was 8:19pm - I received a text message, saying my food was ready for pick up!!?? Not worth the wait and definitely not...
Read moreDisappointing Experience with Staff, Especially the Manager
I had a very disappointing experience, particularly with the manager, Sean Bennett. I visited the establishment without knowing there was a mandatory 20% gratuity added to the bill—despite the fact that I was collecting my own drinks and food directly from the bar, where they have a designated pickup area. In essence, there was no table service provided.
Upon learning about the automatic gratuity, I politely asked to cancel my order. One of the bartenders asked the staff member taking my order what the issue was, and he loudly responded, “He doesn’t want to pay the gratuity!”—in a very unprofessional tone.
The manager, Sean Bennett, was called to cancel the order. While he did cancel it, when I asked for a receipt, he refused to provide one without giving any reason, and instead asked me to leave the premises. I explained that I was visiting from out of town and needed a receipt for my records, but he continued to refuse and even threatened to call the police for “trespassing.” Only when I stated I was willing to wait for law enforcement did he reluctantly handwrite a receipt.
Throughout the interaction, Sean Bennett was rude, unprofessional, and clearly lacked basic customer service skills. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t...
