Rodriguez Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Lakewood

I have been to this place a couple of times. I've always had good service, except for today. I thought I ordered posole and my grandson ordered two tacos. It was almost ten dollars for two plain tacos and a drink, plus I even tipped. My posole was never ordered. And nor was I asked if I wanted anything. My grandson's tacos were brought out. I said I bet he never took my order for posole. So I asked him did I order posole? He said no. Would you like to order some. I said no. I questioned him about paying so much for two plain tacos and a drink. Ridiculous!! I regret going in this place today. Myself and my grandson were pretty upset and disappointed. Unfortunately we will not be returning to this place. It would have been professional for the employee to ask if I wanted posole. I asked about it. My grandson ate alone, while I watched. If it was me I would have definitely asked the customer if they wanted...

OK, let me start by saying the food here is amazing and incredibly authentic and the prices are extremely reasonable. If you want to know what a Torta or Gordita should actually taste like, this is the go to spot. Now the reason for the deduction of the star.... the time they close at, this is the only Mexican restaurant I have ever been to that closes before 7pm. This makes no sense to me at all... 90% of restaurant business is done between the hours of 4pm till 8pm, if this place wants to see a real profit they need to do the math... I understand the 7am opening time for breakfast burritos but they should close at 9am for lunch prep and open back up at noon then close at 2pm for dinner prep to open at 4pm for dinner then stay open till 7 or 8. Trust me... you will see your business increase by 10 fold. Anyway... keep up the delicious food and I hope you decide to stay open...

I have been coming here for a few years now and I have never been disappointed! The food has always been so good and family members that I have picked up food for also really like the burritos. Always order the breakfast burritos and chili cheese fries. The people that work out front are always very pleasant and polite. From time to time someone from the kitchen will bring my order out to me (always to go) and have always been very kind.and pleasant. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Can't believe I never left a review for this awesome place before now....
