Me, my husband, and our pregnant friend came today to buy some food. this has been our 3rd time here and the owner stated they didnt want outdoor drinks. I brought my Starbucks drink, not for the intent to drink it but to take it out of my hot car because it was already hot and the ice was already melted. today it was 106. the owner explained out loud no outdoor drinks. it was just my drink, my husband came there to eat and we brought our friend and my baby. I put my drink in my water flask because if an outdoor drink offended her, I would just transfer my drink in a flask and throw away the cup if it's such an issue. well I guess this didn't please her. her service was poor. not only was she passive, but she was rude and treated the other customers nice and was very attentive, but with us she was almost trying to get rid of us, being rude to us and push us out. keep in mind this is my pregnant friends first time here and she didn't even think it would be an issue. plus because we bought 60$ worth of food, not saying we are entitled to bring outdoor foods and drinks, but I did get rid of the view of it and just moved the drink to the hydro flask and threw away the cup. The fact our baby was also there and she was that rude and passive, my husband said don't tip them and never to come back again. And he's usually a nice dude, he loves everyone. My wife, my 5 and 7yr old daughter, and I decided to come back and give the another opportunity. Only to be turned away by who I assume is the owner or manager.
She blatantly asked my wife if she had made a negative review, we were flabbergasted but still gave her an honest answer and told her yes!
The owner/manager then proceeded to say, well we serve the right to refuse service to anyone and since you gave us a negative review, you are not welcome here anymore.
Mind you, our complaint/review was not because of the food but their service (her attitude and decision to refuse service proved our review)
I told her, the same thing and made her aware that, in the past, we seen the way she treats "regulars" (And we've come in nearly every Saturday) and the way she treated us and others was inconsistent. Still she refused to serve us and as "the owner / manager, yes, she has the right to do so.
But I thought, that the reason for review (constructive criticism) is improve so that you keep your clientele..
But all is not lost. If it wasn't for her refusing to serve us, we would have never gone to AZTECA Restaurant, which if I felt the food was good at Sun Flower Cafe,... at AZTECA, THE FOOD IS 10X'S...

I ordered the waffle breakfast for $15.99 then noticed the daily deal $8.99 for waffle breakfast and the server said it's different because I got 4 sausages instead of 2. So I had to pay $15.99 instead. So $7 more for 2 additional sausages! That's crazy to me. Greedy restaurants don't last long in the AV. Don't recommend the food, it was overcooked and didn't taste good. The restaurant has a strange unpleasant smell inside, not sure if its the food or the chemicals they use to clean the tables and floors. I was there this morning at 915am, the server didn't offer the early bird special, my husband noticed it on the table after we had ordered. The picture shows a waffle, 2 eggs, 2 sausages, then change your photo to half a waffle so it does not mislead people. About the smell, I guess that's your problem, it's your family owned restaurant not mine! Maybe better customer service with your staff will help your business. I just won't be going again.
