Kirk's Kitchen — Restaurant in Landrum

After reading such great reviews, we headed to Landrum SC to give Kirk's Kitchen a try. Let's just say it won't be the last time. My husband ran in to pick up dinner and talked about how nice those working inside were. We knew, based on the reviews, it wouldn't be fast and that was perfectly fine with us, especially after eating the food. It was worth every minute! My husband got a bacon cheeseburger and fries. He loved them both. I got a cheeseburger and onion rings (how could I resist after such fantastic reviews on the rings?) I grew up in Spartanburg where everyone went to the Beacon for onion rings, but I'm here to say Kirk's Kitchen has the BEST, hands down! The batter is delicious, and even after a 20 minute trip home, they were crispy! My cheeseburger was perfect -- tomato and lettuce were tasty and there was not one bit of gristle in the meat. Score! Bonus wins were the homemade blueberry scones and sweet tea. We'll be back and I'm telling everyone in our area about Kirk's. I also love supporting small, family-owned businesses. It's a win...

Recently had food from their food truck at a church event. Cheeseburger was just meat and cheese and was a pre made frozen patty. Likely from Sam’s club considering they had sam’s brand water that they were selling for $3 each! Any topping we’re $1 extra even though when ordering I was told a cheeseburger came with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Chili on a hotdog was extra. Only decent food we ate from there were the fries. It was a rip off and very low quality food. I’m not sure if because it was a big event, the quality of the food declined. We finally made it to Kirk's Kitchen. Not knowing what to expect, we walked into this place that had minimal seating indoors, but the most friendly people you've ever met. The food was very good and "comfortable". I'm already looking forward to going back again. My wife had a fried bologna sandwich that was perfect & I had a sausage sandwich with peppers & onions that was so tasty, it begs you to come back and try other menu items.
