Savvy Scavengers Antique Mall and Marketplace — Local services in Landrum

This place is full of neat things. Though I normally use it for the ATM since it's in the same parking lot as the Landrum Farmer's Market, but I like to browse too. Imagine my surprise when this last visit had me bump into one of my wife's favorite things. A giant Nutcracker! I didn't tell her right away as she was still waiting in the SUV, but when we left the Farmer's Market, we returned so that I could surprise her with it. It was about 6' tall, but the price was so reasonable, we HAD to buy it, having seen ones not as big but priced much, much more elsewhere over the years. She was in her glory. There was no way I was going to try and wait for it to become a Christmas present. I couldn't see it lasting that long, so we had to buy it on the spot. We call him Fred. I love, love and LOOVVEE this place!!! They have sooo many things to look at and I ALWAYS find cool cool treasures that a lot of the times are pretty reasonable or I couldn't afford to go. The people that own or run it, I'm not sure which, are friendly as well. The only complaint I have would be to watch what is supposed to be on sale because I've bought things their before that were on sale but after I looked at my receipt afterwards I realized I didn't get the sale prices on a few of the items I was supposed to and that upset me some because i don't have a lot of extra money to even be shopping, and sometimes for someone like me, sale prices makes a BIG difference and can be the difference in whether you make a certain purchase or not. If I could leave a zero star I would. The lady at the desk literally made me and my friends leave because we had no mask. So I asked her why she let the people that just left have their mask under their nose and the one kid with no mask and she says and I quote “ he’s a kid”. What the heck is the difference. Elderly people and young people are the ones who will get covid easier.
