Lakeside Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Lanesborough

We went to out for a girls night at 6:30 on a Thursday evening. The 6 of us were seated outside within 10 minutes. We then waited about 10 minutes for a drink order to be taken, not a problem. We ordered our food and that's when this review takes a turn for the worse. We waited over an hour for the food to be served. The table next to us waited so long that when their food arrived cold they opted to just leave. Our food came out sporadically...and the portion sizes would not have filled a toddler. A tiny very overcooked burger with about 7 French fries on the plate was $18. My daughter and her friend ordered the specials. Appetizer if chili cheese fries came and again was about 7 to 10 fries. The dinner special of mini hot dogs wrapped in bacon and served with French fries at a cost of $12 was small portion size, but also came very over done shriveled up, served in a ripped open dinner roll with again less than a handful of fries. One person in our party ordered food to take home. After about a half hour of us sitting waiting to pay the waitress returns to tell us they are out of one of the items ordered. While sitting outside if the sun goes down there is absolutely no lighting, so we had to use phone flashlights to pay our overpriced for what we got bill. We will not...

First time, I called in twice for takeout during regular hours and went straight to voicemail which was also full for some reason. That was a red flag.

Decided to give it a second chance later in the week. Went back with a family member and ordered salads, wings and a cup of clam chowder. Waited outside but no one came. The whole set up is really weird. Decided to order inside and most if not all of the wait staff was sitting down eating in the bar. They stared at me until I apologized and asked where to go to order food for takeout. A nice woman took my order right there and we got almost everything in 15 minutes.

Unfortunately they forgot the chowder, so I called and went back to get it. They gave us two cups instead. Both tasted like fermented milk so we didnt even get to eat them.

Don't know if it was an off week or if they're going through a rough patch, but I would not recommend this place. Overall atmosphere is a little too lax and most of the staff isn't terribly friendly....

At first didn't want to serve us, then finally decided to serve a 11 person table. Horrible service from someone who wouldn't let us order the drinks we wanted. Only one pitcher available in the whole restaurant so we could not order the beer we wanted. It was 35 dollars a pitcher of beer which is absolutely ridiculous.

The calamari was horrible, not fresh and fried in dirty oil. The chicken wrap was average and didn't taste fresh. Overall it was okay.

Finally once paying the bill we were told only 4 out of the eleven could pay the bill and that we had to sort it out afterwards. The waiter also insisted on us adding a tip even tho gratuity was already billed into our absurd total amount.

We were told that if we used the stairs on the deck to enter after leaving a 300 dollar fine would be issued because of fire safety. The manager was breaking this rule constantly.
