Golden Chopsticks Chinese — Restaurant in Lansdale

If you want good Chinese food in Landsdale, look no further! Portion was generous and they did not skimp on the protein like many places do! Live in Philly (where you can't throw a stone without hitting a decent Chinese food joint), and have tried my fave dish, Shrimp Mei Fun (very light and airy thin rice noodles) and add steamed broccoli (cuz I love my veggies!), pretty much everywhere I've gone. This was exceptionally excellent, as it was not bogged down in butter sauce as seems to be common. It is meant to be a light and delicate dish, not taste and leak like a Paula Deen scampi, lol! No, this was certainly one of the best Mei Fun I have had!! Lots of tasty fresh steamed shrimps, tons of delicious fresh scramble eggs, slightly crunchy cabbage, crisp shave carrots, a few delicate spring onions for flavor, and the delicious light and airy Mei Fun noodles were perfectly cooked! Service was polite and professional, and despite seeming a bit busy, the food was ready to go in about 8 minutes, which flew by as I admired the lovely painting on the dining area wall. Only giving 4 stars bc I haven't tried some of the usual staples so I can't judge entirely based on one amazing...

The food is pretty good but the service is horrible. The employees never make you feel welcome when you come into the restaurant. The last time I ordered I asked for no onions. I drove home (about 15 min away) and discovered my shrimp fried rice was LOADED with onions. I called and told them, the lady said bring it back they will make another one. I informed her about how far I live and the inconvenience and she could've cared less. Didn't offer even a free egg roll for the inconvenience, nothing! This time I ordered lemon chicken and it looked so disgusting, I kindly explained to her that I would not be eating the chicken because of how it was cooked. I explained that I would pay for the rest of the food, just not the lemon chicken. She gave me such an attitude and went on rudely telling me how it's a waste of food and how I needed to pay for it. Ordered from here for the first time in a while. Ordered General Tso Chicken wings, shrimp fried right, sesame shrimp, shrimp rolls and crispy noodles. The wings were good, a milder general Tso sauce from other places, but not bad. Shrimp fried rice does not have egg in which I was hope for, not much to the fried rice but was good. Sesame shrimp was lightly fried, you could pick mild or hot for the sauce. I went with mild since I don't do well with hot, the flavor was good, not spicy at all.
