I'm a diehard Biggby customer but I always pass this shop otw to work. This am the winds of change had me stop in. The barista/manager/overall chill dude in there was super friendly. They have a smaller menu than alot of places [not in a shade way, just stating a fact] and the barista picked up on my ummmmms and made a suggestion. I paid $5ish/6 for a 16oz peach cobbler latte with oat milk. Just like he said it wasn't overpowering and a smooth bev :) small but chill environment. You could def meet w a couple friends or study here. I really liked that they support local artists and have pieces for sale. I'll def swing by again. Kudos to the barista for the awesome service :)

Beautiful small coffee shop. I love the idea and practice of sustainably resourced coffee that positively affects the communities involved. I bought a bag here and a cup of their Guatemalan kind. It was flawless and delicious. At the price you pay it's well worth it than some peppermint drizzle vente grande sugar snap latte. I will revisit to get more coffee and they have a subscription that I will take part in too so I can get real coffee. Love it, inclusive, you won't be disappointed, grab a cup, grab a bag, enjoy.

Extremely friendly staff and DELICIOUS coffee. My partner loves the different coffee bean bag flavors/origins available for purchase. He learned that he loved the undertones of fermented coffee beans and is excited to be able to support local while still enjoying ~fancy~ coffee at home. Black coffee or frou-frou coffee, you won't be disappointed!

The 517 Coffee Company is absolutely fantastic! They recently serviced and cleaned our espresso machine, and the experience was top-notch. James was incredibly kind and took the time to explain everything in great detail, helping us understand our machine so much better. We are starting a coffee catering company and could not be happier that we chose them as our roaster.

We also had the opportunity to do a barista training session a while back with Vincent, and it was beyond helpful. Whether you're looking for roaster needs, machine maintenance, or just a fun and informative training session, I can't recommend The 517 Coffee Company enough. Their training is perfect for a date night or for anyone who wants to learn more about espresso.

In addition to all of this, they are committed to social responsibility and community support. They actively stand up for what's right by creating a safe and affirming space. Check out their socials to see more about their activism because it is truly impressive for a small business to give back as much as they...

I could give a 10 minute speech about why 517 is an incredible establishment! But I'll keep it (somewhat) short by saying that you will not be disappointed by this place. The coffee & homemade syrups are phenomenal. They put so much time & effort into perfectly curating the seasonal drinks to be delicious and different from other places, while also having the traditional options that everyone loves. The owner & employees there are the coolest, most down to Earth, and fun people. It feels like each time I go in there, we end up in a conversation about Lansing and how we believe so strongly in the potential, schools, and people here (but don't worry introverts, they are also just as happy to make your coffee in silence! lol). They're just genuinely good people that happen to be excellent at their trade. Lastly, their prices are very reasonable and they have a great points system! I am SO thankful that they decided to bless South Lansing with...
