Ten & Two Coffee Lansing — Restaurant in Lansing

I was expecting to have a nice relaxing place to go have a coffee Saturday morning. I walked into what felt like a doctor’s office, and I was met with music blasting that I’d expect to hear in a gym. The place feels more like a bar than a coffee shop, and the sign said they sell “coffee and spirits” but I didn’t even see any spirits in the menu or behind the counter. Very confusing atmosphere. It’s a good thing they’re in a medical building, because this place has schizophrenia.

They had lots of coffee options on the menu, but no cappuccino, which should be a staple at any reasonable coffee shop. It’s like they wanted to be a bar but they accidentally made a coffee shop.

The coffee was fine. But I’d expect to get a burger and a beer here. Not coffee. We had to leave because we couldn’t stand the atmosphere.

I want to love this place but my last couple of coffees were flavorless. So I ordered a blended coffee with an extra shot and a couple of syrups. This ended up being an $11 drink. When my husband arrived with my drink it was a full 2+ inches from being full and completely watered down (no ice at all). I contacted the store and was told “this is just how the drink is when you add a shot”. Obviously this is not my first time getting coffee from a barista. I’ve never seen a shot cause the coffee to completely liquify all the ice. Basically I was told this is how the coffee was made and they can make me a new one but the result will be the same.

Courteous employees and an awesome car-themed atmosphere! Bonus for our visit today was that there was a car show in the parking lot on our arrival, even including a couple vehicles from first responder agencies within the community.
