Where do I start.? We're foodies who live in SE Denver and stumbled across this restaurant when searching for amazing Za. So ...took a little day trip, and boy am I so glad that we did.

We were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. Staff was super friendly and helpful when we were trying to decide what to order because there is a great selection of food options. We ordered garlic cheese bread and the all meat and house special calzones to share. They heard us talk about splitting the calzones and offered to section them into halves for us. WHAT?! That's a whole new level of service so we promptly accepted.

The garlic cheese bread was served with delicious marinara and was light and fragrant. My husband and I agreed that it was some of the most delicious, perfectly seasoned and crunchy bread we've ever had. Come to find out from the owner James, he makes 300 of these vegan loaves fresh daily! As we chatted with him he graciously gifted us with a loaf and suggested that we make some French toast with it in the morning. Is this place for real?

We then received our calzones and they were PACKED full of FRESH ingredients. The calzone bread wasn't heavy, nor was it a super thick crust - so you didn't get full on just the bread. The thing I loved was how soft anf flavorful the calzone was. Although the marinara was delicious I found that it wasnt necessary as my calzone halves were both moist and tasty on their own. Everything that came to our table was homemade or fresh and it definitely came through in every bite. All I can say is WOW!

With great prices and generous portions, along with the most friendly staff and delicious food. .we'll be back.

Thank you James and team. You knocked this out...

If you’re anywhere near LaPorte, you NEED to stop at LaPorte Pizza—this place is the real deal! I stopped in today just looking for a quick slice of pizza for lunch, and I walked out absolutely blown away by the experience.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly. While waiting for my slice, I glanced at the specials board and noticed their Wednesday special: the KrautBurger sandwich. The server not only explained what it was but also surprised me by bringing out a half portion so I could try it. Let me tell you—it was delicious.

As we chatted, I mentioned it was my first time there, and the gentleman behind the counter smiled and said, “We have something for first-time customers.” A few moments later, he handed me a loaf of their fresh homemade bread to take home—completely on the house. They’ve been in business for over 30 years, and it shows: the food is fantastic, and the people truly care about their customers.

What started as an ordinary lunch stop turned into a bright spot in my day. You just don’t see this kind of personal connection and generosity much anymore. If you’re passing through LaPorte—or even if you’re not—make the trip. Between the welcoming atmosphere, incredible food, and genuine hospitality, LaPorte Pizza will make your day...

As far as traditional thin crust pizza goes, LaPorte Pizza has better pizza than any pizza place in Fort Collins except for JJs pizza (near Harmony and Taft Hill). Unlike JJs, LaPorte Pizza uses a traditional pizza oven rather than a wood fired approach. The sauce is excellent. It’s a little tangy and they use just the right amount. The cheese is also nice and they use plenty of it. Toppings we had on a veggie pizza were good… not great. The pizza was baked perfectly and it wasn’t the least bit soggy. As a comparison, it’s noticeably better than Pulcinella or Totally 80s for example. As to the dining experience itself, it’s located right on the main strip in LaPorte. It’s basically a walk up order setup with a bunch of standard tables to eat off of. It’s not a memorable dine in experience - no frills at all. And, since alcohol is not available there, it’s not a destination for adult dining but rather a better family destination. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. If you haven’t tried the pizza yet, you are...

Stopped in for lunch after visiting Gateway Park. First time to Fort Collins, Gateway and the LaPort area. So glad we stopped for lunch! What a hidden gem!! Service is excellent - very friendly. Food - made to order, fresh. While waiting, the owner of 30 years, brought us all a sample of the soup of the day - broccoli cheddar. It was wet tasty! Also, while eating he brought a fresh loaf of bread as it was my first trip to Colorado, Fort Collins, the mountains and to his amazing restaurant. We heard the backstory and how he’s opened his doors to so many throughout the years. Truly a remarkable staple in LaPorte, CO!! Will return on our next visit and one day will call Colorado our home! Thank you for welcoming us to your place you’ve called home for thirty years! 30 year anniversary planned for June 2025 per the owner.
