The WoodShed — Restaurant in Laporte

They accepted my payment for drinks that I had ordered never served the drinks, gave me drink tokens and refused to serve the drinks or refund my money!! This bar is a total scam pretty sure this is theft!

This won't let me respond to "owners response" so I will edit as to my response. If there was no intention of serving me the drinks I paid for they should not have accepted payment and it is very clear there was no intention when they accepted payment and gave me nothing for it. I am not a regular I do not even live in the area and the wait staff was well aware of that when they accepted payment thank god I am not from the area because a bar or any business at that ran on scamming customers for money and refusing to serve what was paid for is pretty low and I am proud to say I am not a part of such a crooked community that will rip someone off just for the fact they are not a local. I have traveled the country and have never had anything so devious happen anywhere else. Came in a Sunday afternoon. Got a few drinks and played pull tabs. The waitress was very nice and ended up getting slammed with people as the night went on. They called in another kitchen staff as people kept coming in. Ordered a pizza as the folks next to us had one and it looked really good. Ordered before the rush and still ended up waiting an hour for pizza. Finally got the pizza which ended up being a frozen jacks pizza with toppings added by the kitchen staff. Looked nothing like the other one we saw before. Told the waitress about it at the end of the night. She shrugged her shoulders and said, “yeah pretty much.” The staff was overloaded with customers and the kitchen was slow. The star given is for the waitress being a rockstar handling a full bar plus 6 tables of four or more. The food gets zero stars. Don't let the fact that this is located on the outskirts of a small town scare you off. The food was amazing. Service was incredible. Our server was also the bartender and was responsible for the entire restaurant. We went about 2 on a Saturday and there were 3 other tables being served. She was cheerful, pleasant and managed all the guests well. Drinks were on point and food came out hot and fast. Definitely recommend. We are visiting, the friends we were with are recent transplants and had been here for breakfast which drew us to try it for lunch. You will not be disappointed. It's shameful we didn't get photos!
