I'm really pleased with my experience at Taco El Gordo. I was just passing through Laramie, heading back home from Medicine Bow National Forest, when I saw their food truck and decided to stop.
First of all, they were all really friendly which is always pleasant. I ordered a tripa and lengua taco. I asked for crispy tripa and they absolutely delivered. So many other taco places fall short and it ends up coming out not crispy whatsoever. Made me a happy man. The lengua was a perfect texture and seasoned to perfection.
Their taco prices are about average for this day and age but the portions are not -- they really hook it up with the meat filling. I normally wouldn't write a review about a random taco truck but these guys deserve the praise. I'm going to drop by and give them my business whenever I pass through town...
Read moreMy one night in town and I just picked a Mexican food taco truck named Tacos el Gordo. People were nice, service was fast and the food was not only tasty, but I could have bought a quarter of what I did, there was so much food. The regular meat nacho tray seemed small, but they packed it and just that would have been more than I can eat. I also got the quesadilla and barely was able to eat a quarter of that. The food is delicious and I wish I was hungry again. I guess it will be my food for tomorrow...
Read moreI stop here every time I'm thru Laramie. Meat well seasoned. Tortillas sometimes tear apart. Sauces just a wee bit on the watery side and not scorching hot. Good for a taco trailer. Atmosphere only four because sometimes it gets a little hot sitting outside in the sun. But hey, at least they have a table. All in all, always an enjoyable experience. Good...
