Hanabi Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Lawrence

I was highly disappointed with the quality and the service from this establishment this evening I came and ordered a steak and shrimp dinner. I wonder why y’all had took so long with my order but it all makes sense now and it was right before you guys closed and the quality of the meal you guys ran out of vegetables y’all explained that to me and told me you gave me, well I thought it was for my mom‘s platter because I ordered extra vegetables so I thought that we wouldn’t get the extra vegetables, yall gave us extra rice but that wasn’t the case. Neither one of us got vegetables at all and I got five pieces of shrimp and I have 12 pieces of chopped up itty-bitty steak steak. I understand that you guys were closing, but if you did not have the ingredients for that, you guys should have, let me know that to make the choice if I wanted to still receive or eat this food because I would’ve declined and I wouldn’t have purchased a platter. This is a wonderful addition to the Lawrence/Fort Ben area's food scene. It's a food truck that's parked right next to the Marathon Gas station on N Franklin Rd. I tried it today for the first time and it was really good. When I walked up I immediately could smell the aroma of garlic butter which was very pleasing and ordered the teriyaki chicken meal with fried rice and vegetables. It was about $12 dollars or so after tax and I was given a beeper to let me know when the food was ready. I sat in the car to wait for my meal and after a very short time it alerted me that it was ready. The portion was really large and the flavor was just as big. This was 1st time visiting and my 2nd time enjoying a meal from this establishment. Attempted to grab a "Big Den Den" meal but they had just ran out of noodles, the owner was very accommodating and offered other options that were just as good along with a side of Rangoon. Overall the food was amazing 👏 and did not disappoint at all 💯. The staff was also very pleasant and I loved ❤ thier energy. If you decide to go I suggest go earlier than later.
