If you're in the mood for some fantastic Mediterranean food in Lawrence, Kansas, you simply must check out this hidden gem of a restaurant! I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment during a recent trip to the area and was thoroughly impressed with everything they had to offer.
First of all, the food here is absolutely top-notch. Everything from the falafel to the shawarma was cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of flavors and spices. The portions were also very generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry!
What really sets this Mediterranean restaurant apart, however, is their commitment to quality and freshness. Every dish is made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients available, and you can really taste the difference. The vegetables were crisp and flavorful, the meats were tender and juicy, and the bread was warm and soft.
In addition to the delicious food, the service at this restaurant was also fantastic. The staff members were all very friendly and welcoming, and they went out of their way to make sure that my dining experience was as enjoyable as possible. They were also very knowledgeable about the menu and were happy to make recommendations based on my preferences.
One thing to note about this restaurant is that it's only to go, meaning that there isn't any seating available. However, this didn't detract from my experience at all. In fact, I found it quite convenient to be able to grab my food and enjoy it wherever I wanted.
Overall, I would highly recommend this Mediterranean restaurant to anyone looking for some delicious, high-quality Halal food in Lawrence, Kansas. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is definitely worth a visit. Don't miss out on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe made an order about 40 minutes before closing time on a Saturday. It was a carry out order through the restaurantās website. We ordered 2 entrees, falafel, and lentil soup.
When we got home we were disappointed to realize that there was no lentil soup. It was about 3 minutes after closing time at this point, and we called the restaurant to let them know the lentil soup was left out. I realize it was after they were closed, but the person that answered just said that it shouldnāt be on the website/available to order because they are out. It was made to seem like an ongoing problem with the website. We were not offered a refund or any kind of resolution to the problem that we paid for items we didnāt receive. We should have at least been informed when picking up our order that an item was not available, and our total should have been adjusted.
Overall, the food was good. The falafel sandwich did not have much filling, but the chicken shawarma, falafel, and fries were delicious.
We were very excited to have a new Mediterranean spot to try, but unfortunately Iām not sure we will go back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe salad is terrible. Thereās no feta cheese, or cheese of any kind. My cucumbers were cut very small but my tomatoes were huge. Yet my wife also got a salad and her cucumbers were way too big (no tomatoes for her). The dressing was bland. They just use iceberg lettuce, no romaine. And they added parsley or something which Iāve never seen on a Mediterranean salad. The gyro was okay, kind of plain and definitely not enough cucumber sauce. There arenāt any tables. Just a couple stone benches to sit on while you wait for your order. There was also a bit of a communication issue. We ordered two salads, one without tomatoes or onions. Instead we got one regular salad and a side of extra veggies for the gyro. Iām not sure how that happened when I confirmed that we wanted two salads and two gyros, making sure my wifeās didnāt have tomatoes or...
