This was our first visit to Brass Lantern, we travelled here to eat this evening because we eat a lot at Legend's in Columbia. We are planning to move to the area soon and wanted to try the restaurant since it is affiliate with Legend's. Needless to say, this will be my and my family's one and done visit. It is far from being top notch as Legend's in Columbia, yes you might think because I have eaten at Legend's for so long, I am bias but that isn't true, there were several big differences between the restaurants. To begin with I will say that our server Ellie was super nice and keep checking on us. Really the only good thing about our visit. We were a large group 4 adults and 3 children, we are very patient people, so we never mind if there is a wait on food, service etc. We understand the shortage of servers, food, etc. Our order included 3 spaghetti and meatball dinners, a cheeseburger meal. Kids grill cheese and 2 kids catfish dinners. First one of the kid's catfish dinners was raw, the catfish was not cook thoroughly, the server offered our child a different dinner or cook the fish, but since she saw the raw fish, she was against that so went with the kid's spaghetti, ok that is done. When we order we order from the menu, the menu stated on the spaghetti dinner included 3 jumbo meatballs. When our spaghetti dinners came, they are missing a meatball, I know that might seem trivial to some, but with everything costing so much you want what you are supposed to have. And at 13$ for a plate of spaghetti and 3 jumbo meatballs we want what we are paying for. Brought the issue to the server Ellie who said she would get a manager. The manager came over no smile, how Ya doing? Glad you came, just a sour face and ask us did we need anything. My Aunt explained that we order the spaghetti and meatballs dinner, but we all received only 2 meatballs. The manager (do not recall her name, because she didn't give it to us) told my aunt that the meatballs are made by hand and was made bigger than usual, so you get 2. Just because the menu said 3 Jumbo meatballs don't mean Jumbo. Then went into explaining that the menu says Jumbo Shrimp, but they are not Jumbo. Excuse me but this all made no sense at all. I understand that there is a lot going on in the world especially with food shortages etc. But if you aren't going to give 3 jumbo meatballs just say it, don't give lame excuses and if you are going to go by the size of the meatballs for the day put a sticky not on the menu that it depends on who rolls the meatballs for the day will determine how many you get. Seriously Legend's in Columbia would not have let this happen and certainly would not tell us that Jumbo don't mean Jumbo, then say the meatballs were made bigger today so you get 2. At Legend's in Columbia, so far and I pray it never changes, the managers, the servers, the cooks, etc. have always be nice, smile on their faces and truthful if they were out or short on items. The overall feel of this restaurant is not family feeling at all and that is why when I do move it will still be well worth me to drive 45 minutes or more to eat in Columbia at Legend's, please Brass...

So we went today for the first time to have dinner with my parents. We arrived and we're seated after a 25 minute wait which wasn't an issue. My parents were running behind and my wife and I were totally ignored for the 35 minutes we were there waiting for them to show up, we were planning on ordering an appetizer and never got the opportunity to. My parents arrived and then they finally ask for drink orders and bring bread. They bring our drinks and my father ordered a beer, it was completely flat, so he sends it back for another brand, it too is flat, then he tells them to bring a bottled beer, it's warm. We ordered our food and I asked for the catfish and was promptly told that they didn't have it and so I decided to try the Cajun chicken Alfredo with a side salad. I'm waiting for my salad and later they bring out everyone's food and I'm like ok I guess the trend of ignoring me is going to continue and they forgot my salad. After I'm almost done eating, the waitress asks me if I wanted my salad and I was like well I did but you served my meal already so no nevermind it I guess. The Cajun chicken was as bland as Styrofoam, the garlic bread was the only saving grace of the meal. Then she brings the bill and still is charging us for the salad I never received. I was looking forward to eating here because my parents have told us about how good it is and the parking lot is always packed when we drive by but, after this experience I had today, I will never set foot in this establishment again seeing as I left disappointed and totally...

okay, maybe we went on a bad day. My wife's chicken fettuccine, the noodles were extremely overcooked, so she ended up only eating the chicken. When we showed up, we were seated and given our menus, and then another group was seated next to us 10 minutes later. He only took our drink orders in the beginning, and the table next to us was given the privilege of ordering first. Then another 10 minutes later, he comes over to take our orders. So almost 20 plus minutes later, we finally got our orders taken. 50 minutes later, we got our overcooked meal, and I got the hand breaded chicken tenders (nothing special). In the waitors defense, we were not acquainted, so I did not get the best service possible. The people next to us got their food with in almost 20 minutes of them being there. He knew those people seated way after us and made no attempt to ask or even consider why my wife's food had not been eaten. Good servers ask how the food is, and my wife did not want to complain only around only four tables and a guy at the bar in the whole area. Just felt like if you are not a local, you do not get the best service possible. My second visit and now my last. I came from Giles County's area and do not know a lot of people in Lawrenceburg. Prices are high, so my expectations are high, just my wife and I, and dinner was over $40 for some low-grade service. Never again, and so many other places in Lawrenceburg know how to do it better, El Azteca, Striker, Stetar's, Society, all these places have great service and...

We have dined at the sister restaurant in Columbia (Legends) and thought we’d try this location. Similar menu and concept. We visited early afternoon Saturday and were told it was a 40 min wait time — but were seated in 20 minutes! Pleasant staff who were knowledgeable about the menu — including about 12 items that were no longer available since the menu pages had not been updated yet. The salad bar is popular and wait time for appetizers was minimal. But wait time for main entrees did take about 30 minutes. My shrimp platter was tasty and I enjoyed the loaded baked potato. My mom liked her catfish dinner. My wife ordered the salad bar and soup — but she had to wait extra time since they brought out the wrong soup! This location appears to be very popular with the local community. The venue includes a separate bar lounge area with its own outside entrance door. Staffing did not appear to be an issue — although we were never greeted or checked on by management staff team members.
