4 Brothers Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Le Mars

We arrived at around 1:30pm, were told we could seat ourselves due to dining area was closed, the bartender obviously did not want to be a waiter, we both ordered the same thing which was there Highlighted Steak and Mushroom Fettuccini, and a order of cheeseballs. We got our salads, which were put together by someone who didn't want to be there, salad was topped with 1 half of a cherry tomato and tiny endcap of a red onion. Then we waited about 20 mins after salads for our food, which is alright but we were the only people there eating. Our cheeseballs and food came out at same time, our pastas were cold to the touch, not even lukewarm, the pasta claimed to be with thick mushrooms in a garlic parmesan cheese sauce. Not even slightly I promise there was no flavor tasted like milk, no garlic flavor and I legit laughed and counted my "thick mushrooms" I got 4 tiny pieces of mushroom. The bald bartended/wait staff was no where to complain to about why our food was cold with no flavor. This was our first time to go out to eat in months and it was a straight disappointment I'd be embarrassed to know that a tv dinner pasta dish was better in quality and same in temperature. I had the 🍑 Peach Mustard Pork Chop and OMG! I've had a lot of pork chops in my day and this one is right up there with the best I've ever had! I was leery cause of the name of it cause I'm not a huge fan of mustard or peaches really either but I'm so glad I tried it! I mean I've even grilled up some pretty dang good pork chops on the grill before but this one was something else! It just melted in your mouth it was so good! Then the loaded mashed potatoes with it yeah a combo made in heaven. The asparagus was ok but a little harder then I like and part of that could be cause it's not really in season this time of year so IDK if that was their fault but it still was fairly decent. I think I would go with the caramelized carrots next time then I bet it would be perfect! Overall I'm not taking any stars off for that cause everything else was so good. I can't remember what the soup of the day was I know it was a cream of something and man it was amazing also. I highly suggest this place and will be going back next time I get down to Le Mars! I wish I lived closer that's how good this place is! It's a little pricy but...

Recently ordered a ribeye for takeout. I feel that if you can pass the takeout test you deserve four or five stars. My rib eye was cooked to the medium that I had asked for. The baked potato was very very good. And the salad although a little small was prepared correctly. The reason I'm not giving it 5 out of 5 is if you're going to spend $40 on a takeout meal I would expect better take out silverware then you get at Kentucky fried Chicken. The one negative comment on how the meal was prepared was I could taste the gas from the flame broil for the steak. It did detract from the meal a little bit. And I would expect it's not to be the case later in the day. Not sure if they use a gas-fired grill or wood-fired. If it's wood-fired I must have arrived early enough to taste the lighter fluid. Otherwise it's just a natural gas that was clicking in the fat of the ribeye. All in all I was so give it for or four and a half out of five stars.
