We saw all the photos online and drove all day to get here for the night thinking that this place was going to be amazing. It was very disappointing to say the least. We ordered the appetizer sampler and it was not even as good as fast food. I ordered the double cheeseburger and crinkle cut fries and my husband had the gyro and 2 street tacos and fries. We also ordered a side of chilli for the fries. First off my food was sitting in the window for over 15 minutes before our waitress brought it over to us. When she did bring it over most my husbands food was not there with mine.........only his gyro Then she brought out the rest of his food several minutes later. She asked if we needed anything else and we said yeah the chilli wasnt there. She said oh yeah let me go get that. Then she returned to tell us they needed to make more chilli and it would be awhile..............remember got the chilli for the fries that are cold by now. It was just a horrible experience. We will never return here while there is a McDonalds across the street. Do not expect any of the food to look like the photos online ...............even the photos on the menu are very different from the photos you see online and the salad bar was nearly empty and what was there was old and wilted. We did not try the salad bar though. The floors were also dirty and the white squares were stained grey. It had an all over dirty feeling. Try at your own Risk...

It was a decent meal. Better than fast food. But I had to really ask for every single thing. And then ask again. I felt like the waitresses and cooks didn't know the menu. For instance, I had a Texas burger. The menu description said it comes with Bacon lettuce tomato mayo jalapenos onions mushrooms Monterrey Jack and cheddar on a half pound burger. I asked for pickles also. The menu also says plain or deluxe. Plain is just the burger, deluxe is with soup and fries. This must be a regional thing, it was just strange to me. So I told the waitress no soup, just give me chili cheese fries instead. She looks at me funny but says she can do it. One of the soups was chili. Just charge me extra for the cheese. So anyway my food comes out. No mayo, no lettuce or tomato. So I had to ask the waitress for it. This was a different waitress. She asks me if I asked for it. I said yes but it's also on the menu in print. I mean the experience was ok but I felt like I was guiding them. I tipped more than appropriately. I don't know. I m from the south and people here in Illinois just aren't the most helpful or...

This restaurant had surprisingly good food; however, I really don't like how people put chocolate syrup into vanilla ice cream and call it a chocolate shake, as was clearly done here. They have a staggering number of items on their menu; I had trouble deciding what to order. The decor was nice and appropriate for being a 50s diner, though the country music on the PA didn't really fit the mood they were aiming for. The restaurant is attached to a gas station, and you have to go to the gas station side to get to the restroom. They had all the blinds closed when I was there, and it was almost too dark. They could stand to do a little bit better with the cleaning, but I'll be returning for the great food... Not the iced tea, though. Just skip the tea. Update: January 2022 - They no longer serve a staggering number of items; the menu is about half the size it was on my previous visit. The tea was better. They're now charging a 3.5% fee to pay with plastic. No milkshakes anymore. It's still dark and kind of...

what a wonderful surprise it was to discover this little gem of a diner off the beaten path. Its located off of I-74 in the opposite direction of Le Roy. It is a charming place with lots of character. It is an old fashioned diner with the ambience of a 50s diner. There is a mini salad bar and a milkshake bar. The waitress was nice and so was the manager. I came in with two children and a service dog and we were treated well. The lone waitress seemed a bit over worked for a saturday night but she did great with keeping up with all her tables. It wasn't too terribly busy and all the customer were older and calmer folks anyway. The food wasn't anything to write home about yet it was completely satisfying in quality and portion size. The kids loved the blues brother and Marilyn Monroe statues. We enjoyed our time there snd will surely go back again.

Before ordering I had asked the waitress specifically if they had real mashed potatoes or instant. I despise instant potatoes! Despite being told they would be real was brought instant. The salad bar was a bit wilted and could smell a bad hard boiled egg from several feet away. The waitress did not even ask if everything was ok nor notice my empty drink when she brought my check. I ended up stacking my steak sauce bottles with my empty glass on top to draw attention to the fact that it was empty. That took about 20 minutes before it was noticed. No they were not busy, they just care little for customer service. Think I would of been better off eating an MRE from the 50's.

If you are around there; you can find it all here! Gasoline, gaming, small products+ snacks and a Woodys 50's Diner with good food! This place needs some help, they are having toilet remont so I hope YOU go there as a customer and bring some cash to register😊 I ate good food and had some relaxation from my Route 66 trip... Staying 2nights at LeRoy and just relaxing, cause I have drove all day at least of 150miles🙀 And allmost a one month time on a road! This was holiday for a car too. Just let it be parked this day and I walked 1,6miles to this place and back to airbnb-house😅
