El Tenampa — Restaurant in Le Sueur

The food was delicious and the customer service was completely above and beyond! We haven’t found any Mexican places in the area that we love, but that changed today when we tried El Tenampa. The chimichanga and the tacos were excellent, and the rice and beans were delicious! I normally don’t like Mexican rice and leave it on my plate, but I ate every bite of this—it was moist and had a great flavor. We got takeout and ate it in the back of our van because our kids are too young to be vaccinated and we are not eating inside restaurants until they are. One of the owners must have seen us eating in the parking lot and came out to see how we liked the food, and he even offered to get us refills on our to-go drinks. I Mexican restaurant in the middle of nowhere. This place is pretty good. A decent menu and looks like they were setting up to put in a buffet. I hade the beef alambre and my wife had the flautas. Sorry if the spelling is wrong on these 2 dishes but the food was perfect. I asked for some extra spicy sauce for my meal and they delivered. Overall some really good authentic Mexican food deep in the southern boondocks of Minnesota. You wouldn’t even know this place was here without google or your lucky to live in this town.
