Update * still horrible service. 4+ people in line and no one working register and all looking at us and ignoring us. 1.41PM 12.27.24 so you can look at the cameras. They also did not give us the four tenders with the $20 seasonal family meal. Now my lunch break is wasted
I recently had an absolutely terrible experience at Popeyes in Leander, TX, and I feel compelled to share my frustration. This review reflects my honest opinion and the numerous issues I encountered during my visit.
First and foremost, the wait times at this particular Popeyes were outrageously long. I understand that fast-food restaurants can get busy, but this was beyond acceptable. I waited in the drive-thru line for what felt like an eternity, watching as cars ahead of me moved at a snail's pace. It seemed like the staff was either understaffed or simply lacking any sense of urgency. Waiting for such an extended period is utterly unacceptable.
To make matters worse, when I finally reached the order window after what felt like an eternity, I received an incorrect order. Despite repeating my order multiple times and confirming it with the employee, they still managed to mess it up. Not only was it frustrating, but it also meant that I had to wait even longer for them to correct their mistake. The sheer lack of attention to detail is appalling.
Perhaps the most infuriating part of my visit was the fact that the staff seemed to completely forget about us. After finally receiving the corrected order, I was instructed to park and wait for my food to be brought out to me. However, minutes turned into tens of minutes, and we were left sitting there, feeling abandoned and overlooked. It felt as though the employees had completely disregarded our presence and moved on to attending other customers.
The overall level of service at Popeyes in Leander, TX, is shockingly inadequate. The combination of excruciatingly long wait times, incorrect orders, and being forgotten about left me deeply disappointed. It is a shame that a well-known fast-food chain would allow such incompetence to tarnish their reputation.
I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before choosing Popeyes in Leander, TX, as you may find yourself wasting valuable time and receiving subpar service. Based on my experience, I cannot, in good conscience, give this establishment anything more than a...
Read moreThe food was excellent but the service is severely lacking. Although not posted anywhere, if you want a to-go order you must either order online or go through the drive thru. You cannot order inside. Dining isn't allowed in the restaurant. Also not posted outside. Once or order was delivered, we received bbq sauce instead of the requested mardi gras mustard. Thankfully realized before we left. But once we got ready to eat we realized we weren't provided any utensils to eat the red beans & rice. This is our third trip here. Each trip has had its accuracy issues.
Update - Second visit today. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Placed mobile order to pick up in store. Remember last week we walked in and were asked if we were there to pick up a mobile order? Today, no signs, except now the door is locked. Get in drive thru lane, try to call the store. 7 calls, no answer. Sit in the line about 7 mins, tell the kid on the speaker that I was there for a mobile order. Asks my name and tells me to pull up. Girl at the window tells me my order is $13.79. I tell her no, I'm there for a mobile order, she also asks my name and then asks me park. Sit there for about 8 or 9 minutes girl comes to my car with someone else's order, I tell her I'm there for a mobile order. She leaves. Two employees go in through the locked door so I walk up and knock. A women that looks like she may the one in charge asks what I need, I tell her I have been waiting almost 20 minutes for a mobile order. She also asks me my name, disappears. I stand at the open door for 15 minutes, all the while watching several employees hanging around in the dining area. Nobody's in much of a hurry and nobody seemed to be working on my order. The woman that I last spoke with is in the kitchen with a headset on working. Finally a girl brings the order and says sorry, we just saw this order. What should have been a quick pickup, turned into a 30+ minute ordeal, all the while cars were streaming through the drive-thru. Terrible...
Read moreI visited this location and ordered a three-piece chicken tender meal, and asked for ketchup and hot sauce when placing the at the drive-thru speaker. After getting my food, I managed to make it less than a mile before I realized the girl at the window had given me no ketchup, no hot sauce, and no straw. Technically I didn't ask for a straw, but mistakenly assumed she would just give me one since the meal came with a drink.
I drove back to the restaurant and pulled up directly to the pickup window, bypassing the single car that was currently placing an order at the speaker. The girl who had helped me just a few moments prior made eye contact with me, but was busy preparing drinks. I waited and when she opened the window I politely asked if I could have a straw, some hot sauce and some ketchup. I wasn't rude or belligerent because, honestly, I just wanted to get some condiments and be on my way. She rolled her eyes, then turned around and grabbed a straw and a double handful of as many ketchups and hot sauce packets that she could possibly hold....I'm guessing at least 30 packets in all. Her response seemed awkward, over the top, and somewhat full of angst. I took the straw, and picked two packets of ketchup and two packets of hot sauce off of the mountain she offered me.
I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, or if she somehow felt a certain way about me having come back to get something I'd ask for and she'd forgotten. Either way, her response was unnecessary. If someone at the store bothers to read this, I hope is received as a learning...
