Updated 26Mar24: pic is from McDonalds, today. It's 2 blocks from Culver's and i recommend going there, NOT Culver's. Obviously they didn't pay attention to my review from 8 months ago. I hadn't been back and now I know why. This next time I'll give them a year before I come back, if even then. With options like Hat Creek burgers, or Shake Shack literally only 1/2 mile away in the Domain, why come to Culver's? First: your coupon wasn't clear but we went ahead and complied with the cashiers interpretation. Then my order should have come with Cole slaw, not fries. When I pointed this out, staff member argued with me and I had to show her on your menu board. Reluctantly she exchanged my fries (which I already had at my table many minutes) for the Cole slaw. What, are they going to serve those to someone else? I don't eat fries anyway, but I couldn't believe she took them. Why do I have to struggle with them just for a plain dinner? Somewhat related: our cashier was impossible to understand. She spoke slurred like she's drunk? But she had so many piercings in her mouth, her lips, her tongue, her face, her nose, etc, maybe that's why she literally couldn't enunciate! Terrible. I had to ask her over and over and over and over again what in the world she was saying! Ridiculous! Why even hire her? Put her on the grill or cleaning bathrooms, not out front trying to communicate with customers! EIGHT MONTHS AGO: Ok so service everywhere has gone down, yes? But here? I have liked this restaurant because of the great service. But for the last 4-5 months, it's gotten worse and worse. This was my go-to place; I go there (not anymore) 4 or 5 times a week with my AE coworkers and family and friends. Nope. Not anymore. I've gotten bad service once. Ok, I'll keep trying. Then twice. Not good. Then 3 times. Then 4, 5, 6, etc... ok ENOUGH! I'm all out of do-overs! Time to go elsewhere. Shake shack is only 5 blocks away in the Domain! And their burgers are SO incredible! I thought they'd be expensive but they're not. So skip Culver's. Go to Shake Shack! I'll try one last time at Culver's, but not for several months. I'll give them time to get it together... Oh, and super tasty BBQ is at Pok-E-Jo's, only a mile or so north: Parmer Lane at Lamplight. Worth it! Culver's: GET IT TOGETHER, man!

I have downgraded Culver's from my previous 5 star rating due to incorrect signage, and poor response by the OWNER. I can overlook an occasional slip up, because this is the real world and mistakes happen, but I was overcharged at least six times before I noticed because receipts are only given upon request. When I pointed out the difference in price, not one but TWO people came out to attempt to prove me wrong. When I pointed at the very obvious prices, they both said, "ohhh...". This was after being served a diet Coke (barf) instead of a diet Dr. Pepper, and the owner emphatically told me that he did NOT give me a diet Coke. Dr. Pepper drinkers, you know this is a serious issue. I'm reasonable if a mistake is made, but make it right and don't try to gaslight the customer. See photo for pricing on the chicken sandwich value meals, $7.49. The receipt price is $7.89. The owner was indifferent until he actually saw the sign, but by that time, he had already refunded my money and lost a decade long customer and fan. The same day this happened, I just raved about the food to several coworkers who said they were excited to try the food. I had to tell them about my poor experience when I got back from lunch with my correctly priced McDonald's meal that cost me 35% less but was served with a smile AND a receipt. *As a footnote, I will emphasize how disappointing this was because the food really is delicious.

Who are these people? Where are they from? How did they get here? Who am I ? LOL- Seriously tho - This has to be the best burger I've eaten in the city of Austin. Believe you me, the hype is real. It was nothing short of perfect. Simply delicious. Something so simple can be ruined so easily at so many restaurants, but not at this place. Also, the french fries are my favorite, ziggy-zaggy cut fries are so scrumptious. I'm hooked. I'm writing this review at the time of my visit, while my thoughts are fresh and original. Just so you know. everything about this place agrees with me. I mean if i had one criticism it would be that maybe the folks at the register could be a bit friendlier, i was greeted by someone that felt tired and yeah, un-engaged, just going thru the motions. They seemed really lethargic. Compared to places like In-N-Out, i have to make the comparison. Those things make long term impression. Thats the only thing that kept it from being a perfect 5 stars, and believe me - they matter. Also - the Diet Root-beer is amazing! Culvers has a really good thing going here, im definitely a customer.

Culvers latest vendor to earn biggest weasel award. Used to be when you ordered your fries and burger ketchup was automatic. No more at Culvers. To obviously cut costs unless you specifically ask for ketchup for your fries you WILL NOT RECEIVE ketchup. Though the ketchup is figured into cost of the business and therefore the selling price you are in fact paying for it. I must say I like Culvers fries/burgers. I generally go thru drive thru getting food to go. The last several trips I have ordered only to arrive at my destination without ketchup. We all have busy lives running our business etc. But now we have to babysit Culvers and ask for ketchup. If you forget (like I do) you go without. The world is full of businesses that weasel and scam for an extra penny. Now it's Culvers. The owner used to man the take out window though she is a woman and not a man. I used to compliment her and her store. She seemed friendly and kind. Well apparently she has become your standard greed driven business owner cutting costs and service to fatten her mattress. Of all the cheap shot ploys ketchup no longer automatically included in your order though in fact you have paid for it. Not only is she a weasel now also a thief. Stealing from your customers. Shame on you ma'm for salivating over extra pennies per sale stealing our ketchup. Buyer beware. Ask for ketchup every order or you will not receive. I have curtailed my visits to Culvers and have elected to go to the competition who always include ketchup. I will eat at Culvers in future though the weasel factor here a 10. I hold my disdain towards the greedy owner, not...

I understand they are a new Culvers, but it does not excuse my three primary complaints.

First, the young male at the 2nd register ignored me and several other people wsiting in line tonorder while he chit-chatted with a fellow employee who herself was just lazily standing against a wall. I stood and stared at him for a full minute before he bothered to turn and acknowledge the line. Very poor customer service as he should have constantly kept his eyes on the growing line as it was extremely busy when I arrived and never let up! There wasnt even a table free to sit st do I had yo eat in my car!

Make sure to double check your order - i asked for a medium size basket yet they gave me a small size fry.

I also ordered an OREO mixer with THREE EXTRA OREO helpings, until they charged me for the extra helping, yet when I received it the mixer looked normal as if I hadn't asked for any helpings! I travel across the country and visit dozens of different Culvers, so I know what invisible supposed to look like with THREE helpings of Oreo topping mixed in. I did complain, and when the brought it back they had merely added ONE extra helping, and only added it to the top, they didn't even bother to mix it in again. Suffice it to say I won't be coming to this location again.

Everything was delicious, it's just those things above that could have been done better. And one star for atmosphere as the place was overfull with customers to where I couldn't find a...
