La Fiesta Mexican Grill & Cantina — Restaurant in Leavenworth

My family loves this restaurant! It's right down the road from us, so we visit frequently and have seen them improve over time. Most of the servers know us by face. They know my better half loves the orchada for her drink, and I need the extra hot hot sauce for my steak tacos.

We actually for got to ask for an orchada our last visit. The young man looked surprised and said, " no orchada?" We all made a little laugh as we told him yes, we did want one.

When we order for pick up, they have caught on to our vioce/order they don't even ask, just add my hot sauce to the bag.

The place is always clean. They yet again pay attention to the details. I don't think I've ever seen a water spot on the spoons-clean.

The food! It's always hot. They get our order in, and it usually hits our table within 10 min. I have never got a dish I was not satisfied with. However, I've only ordered the traditional Mexican style dishes. After all, I did go to a Mexican restaurant for a reason.. regardless of what I order, I have to get 2 steak tacos. You can tell the cilantro and onions are chopped fresh. The steak has just enough seasoning to boost the flavor, while the steak has a nice sear on the outside, locking in the juice. Beans and rice are always freshly packed with flavor, never dried out .

If I had a rating system of my own. I'd give this family-friendly authentic Mexican restaurant a 9.6 out of 10 for Leavenworth. The only thing I would say needs work would be the salsa.. every now and then, it can be just a little strong on the onion. Other than they hit it right on the head! Mad love for my Mexicans on 10th street. You all rock!...

So disappointed, worst service I have experience in years. First it feels none of the servers wanted to be our server, cool ok first guy that welcome us was our servers. Then I felt rushed to make our decision to take our order, fine and 3 minutes later our choriqueso came and I will say was the only good thing from this place. And in less then 5 minutes later our food was out some people will say wow fast service, but I like to go and eat in different places and I was hoping restaurant quality food not chef Mike (microwave) service. Oh and before we was in the middle of eating our food server came gave us the check and leave for the day. With out asking if we will like something else or tell us he was leaving, and no other server came to ask if we was needing something else like drinks or dessert or just ask if everything was alright. Not telling you that I also have to wait for a few minutes for someone to come to the podium to be able to pay...

Outstanding service and food. All the staff are great. But a special shout out to our server, Brent. And to the owner, Loren (sp). This is their 1st week. So don't be critical. Loren and his team want to know if you have issues or suggestions. The food is fresh and delicious. If you love really hot salsa, ask for it. They have a Habanero sauce. And a red sauce that will kick your _ _ _! I can eat some hot sauce and peppers. But this red sauce is a challenge. Yet delicious. Their mild salsa for dipping is really flavorful. And last, while we were there at 1130 on this Friday, many military, workers and retirees came to eat. And 4 members of the Kansas Highway Patrol. Growing up as a baby boomer, my dad taught me if you see law enforcement eating there, then that is the place to eat. Outstanding job La Fiesta. Keep up the great work.
