I kinda don’t know where to begin with my review. I could start with the incredible staff. I could begin by waxing poetic on their fabulous coffee. Don’t even get me started on how much I love their lodging accommodations and want to totally move in there forever. The food is downright delicious. The location is impossible to beat - smack dab in the middle between Steven’s and Leavenworth. Reading room? Outdoor patio with fire pit? Live music? Beautiful fresh mountain air? Clean, extremely comfortable, with possibly the best people I’ve encountered in recent history? I mean, come on, now! 5 stars is clearly not enough for this gem of a place that wins on every single detail. I just got home and I already can’t wait to get back there. Special shout out to Vito for making the best coffee I had on the trip and running such a special resort, Cousin Ken Bailey for being quite possibly the best host (and ski instructor!) in the entire world, and everyone else who prepared our room, cooked our food, and poured us beautiful beverages. We love and appreciate you all ❤️

The food was good but not "knock your socks off" good. We ordered the same item with different variations. Their bacon is thick cut, which I prefer and the sausage wasn't that processed like the ones at IHOP. It was an authentic sausage with skin. The pancakes were huge, but not very good. Everything else was fine, just nothing to write home about. The prices were similar to IHOP as well. We did, however, have a great hostess. She was very friendly and told us about other things to do in the area and the best time of year to do them. The inside of the building is new and in really good condition. The beautiful raised ceilings with log beams and log siding make it feel very warm and homey. The bathrooms, which are individual rooms, were new and very clean. Oh, and there's a bar and motel attached to it. We didn't stay there or enter the bar area so I can't rate that. 5 stars for cleanliness and atmosphere 5 stars for our hostess 3 stars for the food

This used to be our favorite place to stop when heading to Lake Chelan but this last visit was quite different than usual. The food quality was down and our bill was way up. I understand that food prices are up everywhere but our lunch came to $60. We didn't order drinks, just water which was room temperature. I had the panko shrimp, husband had the patty melt (very greasy and the onions were undercooked) and we ordered a side of onion rings which we didn't see the price but they were $11 on the bill! They were very greasy, made from yellow onions instead of sweet, cut very thin with mostly broken up pieces leftover from what looked like hamburger toppings, and cooked with an odd, barely there, batter. They resembled soggy, greasy French's fried onions with very little flavor. The service however was friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting especially after a long car ride.

Tonight we came to the Squirrel Tree Resort for dinner and to hang at the bar. Our bartender, other customers called her Jess, came over to us within a couple minutes. She seemed annoyed and aggravated but honestly when you work with the public, that is understandable. We then ordered drinks and had questions about the menu. Jess barely answered our questions as she turned her back to help someone else as she answered us while looking over shoulder. We ordered appetizers and entrees. We both ordered the 12oz Ribeye for $35. Before that, as APPETIZERS, we ordered mozzarella sticks and wings. About ten minutes goes by and our steaks come out. I told the lady that delivered our food that we order apps and she said, “yup, they’re coming right behind me.” 4 mins later, Jess comes out and dips our apps off. I told her that we anticipated getting our apps first, not almost 5 mins after receiving our steaks. She said that, that’s too much for her to remember and that if we wanted to get our apps first in the future that we should order our apps and then order our entrees after we get our apps. I’m sorry but every POS. Has a hold button. And if it was too much to remember to course our meals out then she should’ve just told us to wait to order our entree. We explicitly said that we will START with….and then have our steaks. After that exchange, we humbly ate our entrees and boxed up our apps. She never offered us a second round of drinks and dropped the check. We then added one more drink and paid. Horrible service. The cooks did very well as the food was tasty and the steaks cooked to med rare perfectly. Jess needs to be...

Let me start out by saying, when we booked this “Resort”, the website said it was in Levingworth. That was a lie. They use a P.O. Box in town for the address! This shack is located on the side of the busy highway 30 minutes away on a windy road without internet. After being disappointed by the long drive after drinking some brews, we went into the restaurant to check in. We were not given any WIFI passwords, map of where our room was or instructions/passwords on how to use the TV. We only had one channel that was enabled without having to pay $ for.||There was no refrigerator or microwave or bottles of water like advertised. Our room had no bathtub, the room was freezing and we could not adjust the heat! It was locked by a box! ||So here we are, middle of the day and hungry and thirsty with a dozen blankets on while trying to watch a movie on our small phone!||We thought ‘ok, so the trip is ruined, let’s at least get to bed early since there is nothing else to do and wake up early to get out of here!’ No luck! They must’ve put us in the smallest room right above the bar because there was screaming and yelling all night and into the morning!||Thankfully, there was no Fire because we would’ve died since there was no batteries in the smoke detector, there was USED &DIRTY soap in the shower!||We paid $150 for this s%#*hole?!||Oh, and yes we did try to cancel it. They refused to let us cancel as soon as we got there and found out where it was at. Probably hard up to get suckers...

What a find! I booked a stay without really realizing where it was actually located, or what the place would be like. I have to admit, I had a great deal of anxiety wondering what we were going to encounter. Did I make a mistake? I mean, I’ve stayed in some places with a similar MO that were complete disasters but was I ever pleasantly surprised! First, yes, it’s a bit of a drive, about 20 minutes north out of Leavenworth but so worth it. Absolutely beautiful countryside, and an excellent road to drive. The place itself has a rustic charm and feel but is definitely not lacking. Clean, modern, comfortable rooms and the staff made us feel so welcome. They were on point, everyone was super friendly, provided excellent service, and again, made us feel welcome like we were family almost. Food at the restaurant was excellent, large portions and very reasonably priced. The whole package was a far better value than anyone else in our group could claim (about 20 of us traveled, some stayed even further out of Leavenworth in Wenatchee, and several stayed in Leavenworth proper) so I had immediate personal insight to compare. Absolutely would recommend and will stay again if I’m ever...
