For years, the trip from Lafayette to indy has been fueled by 89 octane and Wendy's Jr cheeseburger deluxes. Maybe the occasional double cheeseburger. Well folks, that little Ray of sunshine on an otherwise drab journey died like a dandelion under a roundup sprinkler. Place was busy today, sure. Went inside to use the facilities and take a close look at the menu. 3 of us today. I'm doing the go-to of course. 4 Jr cheeseburger deluxes. Used to be $0.99 forever, today $1.99 but whatever, it's tradition right? Daughter orders a baconator and nuggets. I personally don't care for bacon on my burgers but to each their own. We wait about 7 min to order, 7 min for the food. Staff forgot the drink on the order but quickly fixed that. The food comes out, wife counts the sandwiches. Count seems right. Off to the car and back on 65. First Jr cheese comes out of the wrapper for the driver. Ohhh this is going to be good.... Uh oh. It's cold to the touch. Not "not warm". Cold. Like it's fresh from the walk in. Whatever, I'm hungry. Take a bite. Bun is crumbly. And dry. And oh, what's this? Bacon. This is supposed to be a deluxe. No lettuce. No pickle. This is not what I ordered. Didn't taste good at all. I'm hungry though so I roll the dice on another one. Same thing. But wait a sec... What's this I am chewing? Yep, that's a hair. Nice long blonde hair. Most likely from the guy with the shoulder length hair not in a net... Yum! I asked how the baconator is. "it's a chicken sandwich in a baconator wrapper". So yeah, zero stars guys. I know you're busy but even a fast food joint depends on either quality or cost. Doubling the prices of menu items is understandable today but sacrificing quality is a death knell for repeat business. Didn't get what we ordered, was cold, hair in the food.
I'll be sending this review to corporate Wendy's btw. Not to be vindictive, but I like the brand too much to have rogue restaurants out there...
Read moreI had the worst experience at this Wendy’s. We were just passing through after being in the road for hours and thought that we made a smart decision to save some money and grab some Wendy’s. Wrong. A waste of my time & $30. The manager was rude beyond measures, dismissive, & condescending. We go through the drive through the first time & place an order for a ghost pepper chicken sandwich combo & an Asiago chicken sandwich combo. When we get to the window, the young lady lets us know that they were dropping fresh fries and to give them a moment. We proceeded to drive up to the door where they would bring our food. After waiting about 5-7 minutes, they finally bring the bag and all of the food is cold, including a sandwich that was premade and had seemed to be sitting for hours. After reversing back to The window to let them know our food was cold, another young lady let us know that she would get her manager (supposedly her name is Aaliyah) because she was just a crew member and couldn’t help us. Then a young guy comes to the window to ask about what the order was and we let him know & drove back up to the door to wait. After forgetting to remind him about the fries we then reversed back to let them know & that is when the manager came to the window and demanded that we move back to where we were before we could even let her know our concerns. I was interrupted, and dismissed however I remained calm. After waiting 15 minutes for the food to come out. As we checked the bag we realized that they gave us 2 completely different sandwiches. When going to approach the window again, we were told that they were closed. No refund. No remade sandwich. Nothing. I, along with others will be reporting this location to corporate. We are aware that the black population is slim in Lebanon; however to be treated the way we were treated is...
Read moreI've been debating about whether or not to talk about my recent visit. I decided that the employees that were there that day, won't learn from their mistakes if I stay quiet. This happened on Thursday Sept 22nd, 2022, around 3:45pm. Maybe a little later. I don't have a car, but my insurance pays for transportation, & it's close to a 3 hour drive 1 way. 6 hrs in the car total for a 20 minute visit. I have serious health problems & I was in Carmel for a specialist in the hospital. I had to fast for tests, & as a result I was feeling sick. I asked the driver to find me a Wendy's for the 4 for $4 deal. It was a crazy long line, & by the time it was our turn, I was struggling to not throw up. The driver placed my order for me, but I wanted an extra burger, in case I was hungry during the way back. The problem is I couldn't see the board. When I was asking for another burger, I couldn't remember the name, panicked & said "Mcdouble", which my driver repeated for me. Remember, I COULDN'T SEE the menu. A lady came on the speaker & said "This is Wendy's, not McDonald's", which embarrassed the both of us. He did say something to the lady about how he's ordering for a client, but I still felt uncomfortable eating the food because I was afraid my food was messed with. There was another patient in the vehicle next to me, & she WAS going to place an order, but after that exchange with the Wendy's employee, she put her card away & said she'll eat when she gets home. Now, when I got my food, I did NOT receive a receipt. Most likely to keep me from doing the satisfaction survey, but they didn't realize that everyone with location on receives a prompt to talk about your recent visit. Surprise! I hope they learn something from this, & always strive to be a better person...
