It was an ok cafe. Food was good but not great. No seasoning on my chicken or Mac and cheese. I specifically drove there to eat breakfast and got there at 11am only for them to say they dont serve breakfast at 11am? I mean its still morning...before noon. And I didn't see anything on their website saying they start lunch at 11. (Editing to say it is on the website if you look deeper but not on main page). I'm surprised they dont just do all day breakfast anyway. It was my first time there and I was not told to sit or wait to be seated. I went up to the counter and looked at the menu, only for the cashier to tell me someone was behind me and if I could let them decide first while I look. Then she said there are menus on the wall I could look at. So I took a menu and sat down at a table (small café and little seatingz hard benches and chairs). Was brought my food in hard metal basket and no plate to put my food on or to cut my sandwich. Had nothing to put ketchup on. Just a basket of fries with nowhere to put sauce. Mac and cheese had zero seasoning. No one came over to check on if we liked our food but someome did come over to clear the metal baskets once finished. I would not care to drive back here but it wasn't a terrible place either. Just ok if you're already...
Read moreI’m gonna give this place 5 Stars because it’s right downtown next to all the Historic stuff that I came to film, the staff are very polite, it’s very spacious and western like inside with even more History to be learned about on the walls! Lecompton itself is filled with History! It’s why I’m here! Hehe
But Aunt Netters Cafe just sounded good as I was walking down the main road filming, coming from the Constitutional Hall. I only had about $5 on me so I was kinda limited but thankfully I was able to get a soda and some onion rings (homemade) for under $5 and it’s actually a decent portion size! And even if it was small, I got a snack and a soda for under $5!
Perfect! These onion rings are delicious though and I’m glad I stopped in there instead of...
Read moreThis was the first time I have ever been here. What a great little cafe in Lecompton! My wife had a burger and I had the Aunt Netters salad. Both were great! The salad was truly wonderful. When they say mixed greens they mean it. Not a piece of iceberg lettuce anywhere on the plate. We also ordered a slice of chocolate peanut butter pie that we had to split it was so big. And it tasted great like everything else.
The waitresses did a great job. Very friendly and attentive. I will definitely return the next time I am passing...
