Well, it's open! Here is my review (for now). So many thoughts. It has a very modern look inside. Reminds me of an airport terminal. 🤔 You cannot see the employees cooking behind the order desk. That is all hidden now. It's kinda dark where you order inside. Not showy or flashy. The dining area is a nice size but definitely not very big. There are self-order kiosks. There are power outlets at each table (no USB). There are wheelchair accessible tables. Many tables are labeled for mobile orders. There is a door to the cooking area right at the front entrance. I can tell they are geared up for employees to go straight outside for mobile orders and the drive-thru-order waiting area. The garbage cans are the nice non-touch electronic kind. In order to use the restroom you have to have an employee (sign says to see the manager) buzz open the doors. I really hope that doesn't last. Especially with there being a play place... we are washing our hands a lot going back and forth between playing and eating. The condiments area is sparse! No drink refill station. Only a ketchup fountain, a napkin dispenser, and two tea dispensers. Where's the soda? The kids loved the play area, especially the log roll toy and also the blue roller conveyer belt toy. There is a shoe cubby. There is a toddler area within the play equipment. There are tables in by the play equipment which is super helpful for us parents of course. There is a hand wipes kiosk in the play area. That's at least something but doesn't make up for the locked bathrooms (to wash hands) in my opinion. The bike rack is helpful outside. Plenty of parking for pick up. The drive thru area is spacious. I like the trees they planted in the parking lot. Our order taker gave a sigh of frustration when my husband added to the order that she thought she was finished with. 😆 So sorry, he said. But she should get used to that happening and keep a smile on her face anyways! The food was the same as any other McDonalds. The prices seems the same as well. Overall I didn't love the look and feel inside. Opening day was underwhelming. But I know we'll be back... because well... the location is great for us, there's nothing else around, and who doesn't love some fried food. As soon as they unlock the bathroom doors, my review stars will go up. Update: they did send out some generous coupons for our area. Also, they were sticking a free dessert coupon in sacks for the grand opening (a few days after the official grand opening), so...
Read moreI live nearby and have went to this McDonald's a few times in a pinch. Quality control is absurdly poor. It feels like what time of day you come by and what crew is working severely affects your ability to get decent service.
Once I attempted to use their app for a percentage off of a McCrispy. I then told them that I wanted to add pickles to that. For whatever reason, they opted to interpret that as me wanting two McCrispies, which I didn't realize until I got to the second window. When I pointed out the mistake, I was told no one there could issue a refund because I guess no manager was there. When I opened the sandwiches, the chicken was so incredibly old it was basically jerky, incredibly disappointing.
The last time I went, I tried to get the $5 meal deal, and asked for some modifications to the mcchicken that came with it. When I got to the window I was told my total was $2 more than it should have been. According to the employee adding anything to the sandwich, including pickles, means it can no longer be considered a part of the meal deal and so he apparently proceeded to just charge me separately for all the items without telling me. I have never had this issue with modifying a sandwich at any other McDonalds. I worked as a manager at a McDonald's for 2 years, in order to change a sandwich in a deal it's a slightly different button than usual. When I asked for the manager after feeling like I was getting nowhere with the employee, who additionally was on both drive thru lanes and cash window despite that being against policy. The manager just told me because I got another sandwich unrelated to the deal they had to charge me separately for each item. Not even cohesion for the reasons, just clearly giving excuses. My sandwich ended up being made incorrectly anyway, with extra lettuce being added instead of the "hamburger style" (adding mustard, pickles, ketchup, and onions.)
I've had good experiences here, but the lack of consistency and poor customer service at times is just incredibly...
