Berlinsville Hotel — Restaurant in Lehigh Township

Hey, had dinner with my brother last week and we hated it so much we are going back tonight, HA! As a self proclaimed "foodie" it was the best meal I've had since moving here, in the pub food category. Pete had the Haddock and gave it two thumbs up. I had the Honey Dipped Chicken and could actually taste the honey. I will admit to being a little biased, I lived many years in Memphis, TN where Fried Chicken and BBQ reign and still was not disappointed; believe me, if I where I would say so.. Bar service while waiting for table was excellent with generous pours. Don't worry owner, I was in the biz for many years and bartender was not over pouring, just a fair drink at the price. While some say the service is sometimes slow, if I want "fast" food I'll go to McDonalds. The server was attentive, checked back about five minutes into the meal to make sure all was ok then basically left us alone. Exactly what you want. My only suggestion would be to serve water upon seating, I asked for it when the meal was served and got it for desert! Not enough to take even a half star away. my fiance and I always go here to for dinner before we go to becky's drive in. tonight could not have gone any worse then what it did. it took almost 10 minutes before anyone even came over to our table. we already knew what we wanted to drink and eat. she finally came over and took our order, food and all. after waiting a good 20 minutes for a salad, that's right a salad we called her over to ask how much longer, she said it will be right out. well another 20 minutes went by with no food. we left our house giving us an hour and a half for dinner. now we told her that we were on a time limit and she assured us that we will have time to eat and make it to becky's. nope, she was wrong. it took them so unbelievably long for us to get our dinner that we had to take it to go and eat it in our car. when we finally got to eat it, my chicken was cold and like rubber. it was 5 minutes until I started eating it. they threw in one cupcake, I guess to try and help with the situation. well one cupcake for two people doesn't really work so well. long story short, it was a terrible experience and not recommended. oh and the one star was picked because that is the lowest rating...

First time visiting this Restaurant and it exceeded my inital expectations.

The quaint historic dining room, and the refreshed bar area were very welcoming. I was very hungry and the options on the menu really made me want to try one of everything! I started with the Wings in the "B-Ville Gold" sauce with a side of bleu cheese, and my goodness they were the perfect crunch! The wing sauce was amazing, highly recommend it if you want something a little different than buffalo or hot sauce. For my meal, I tried the cheesesteak and there was a decent amount of meat with a unique, fresh roll. I also got a side of the White BBQ sauce and loved it. My girl got the pasta special - Gnocchi with Beef, which was very flavorful.

The draft beer system was on point, it was clean and polished. My IPA came out perfect which is hard to find at most Mom & Pop restaurants outside of the city limits. You can tell the staff cares about the establishment!

The bartender we had that evening was very personable and willing to chit chat with us about the menu, the unique men's room, and her newly adopted puppy :)
