This is literally 1 of the only Chinese Takeout places we are willing to go anymore! The only other place we’d go if we were closer to that specific area has closed down now; so that just leaves Cheoy Lee’s! Whether you call in your order, submit an order online, OR just walk-in & order- They cook & prepare your food quickly & efficiently. The food tastes great & is always piping hot right when you pick it up, bc it was literally JUST made. And then the family that owns it/staff are extremely friendly, pleasant, & always offering a smile! & 1 of the FEW RARE places that when you ask “Could I please have like EXTRA EXTRA DUCK SAUCE?” She will almost always ask you if 6 + of the little ramekins of duck sauce are enough or if you’d rather the big cup size soup to-go of it? & then will actually give it to you(All while still smiling & being friendly!); where’s most places nowadays-Chinese food or NOT- make it so difficult to get ‘extra dipping sauce/etc’ OR they upcharge you stupid amounts, etc. & the other really important factor is the fact that they still have really reasonable prices just saying a lot these days compared to almost every other grossly overpriced restaurant...
Read moreMy man, the OG from the Shaolin Temple, Master Chef CHOEY Lee himself! Cousins with Master Rakweon the chef whom taught him his Wu-Tang sword style, Mr. Lee brings perfectly carved Oriental Spear Ribs drowned in a most delicious duck sauce right into my living room. Best chinese food west of Worcester. His middle name must be Bruce after the GOAT himself because that kong pow chicken packs a MF punch. Those crabby raggys smack naughty thoughts out of my head preoccupied by the glorious smells of fried fish fresh from downtown Chinatown. Let me just tell you about the wet noodle Lo Mein. One may even may be tempted to sip on a little egg drop soup which I'm told is quite delectable and full of protein. As always a solid fish tank with a rather diverse collection of tropical fish species on display to occupy your attention while waiting. To my dismay the fourtune cookie was soggy and rather uninspiring in nature and also I played my alleged "lucky numbers" in powerball to no avail. Never the less, Cheoy...
Read moreI had always wondered how their food was whenever i drove by, seeing as though I live in Worcester. I finally got around to trying it out today because i was in the area.
I ordered the L22 (appetizer lunch special). I like the fact that it lets you pick out the appetizers you want because I hate having to do the subsitutions and etc.
The chicken fingers were skimpy but crunchy on the outside (like they should be) and soft on the inside. The flavor was ok.
The Boneless ribs were hard and chewy but ok i guess, nothing id order again.
The crab rangoons were good but barely had any filling, that was dissapointing, but again, the flavor was good.
Chicken wings were ok. They look better than they taste. Im just glad they didnt smell bad.
The rice was suprisingly good. The rice was soft and flavorful.
At least now i know. I wony be tempted anymore. I wouldnt order it again, although for some reason I get a feeling their lomein would be good but who knows?
