Farmhouse Diner — Restaurant in Leicester

This was my first time eating from Farmhouse Dinner, I called in my order and my sandwich was made incorrectly. I called back to inform them and was told they would remake my sandwich, I was never told to bring my food back during the conversation. I go back down and the lady behind the desk her attitude was DISGUSTING, I had to repay for my food which I was completely shocked at that. The only thing that was wrong was my sandwich but was being charged for the home fries I never said anything about them, the lady started raising her voice arguing with me which was sad she should know customer service skills because she absolutely lacks them! Then I asked who the owner was and she said the owner is right there, it was the cook, she then says we're not giving you a free sandwich. That was so uncalled for because I never expected anything free if I had to pay I was going to I'm definitely shocked that the owners behavior matched her worker's.I noticed the owner was wearing gloves touching things writing stuff down then goes back to cooking without changing her gloves completely UNACCEPTABLE! Afterwards I politely asked for a bag and she throws it at me, I was blown away at this lady's behavior, at any time I was not rude, disrespectful, raising my voice I was calm along with being respectful. It's completely sad that she is the owner and behaving that way, and as far as the other lady she is miserable and needs a reality check big time! I don't recommend this dinner at all and will absolutely NEVER return! There's no need to respond it's not a going back and forth...

Wow. What a great find passing through the area. I love little eateries and this diner was a score. I had ordered a lunch special; quesadilla, which was stuffed with deliciousness (filling enough for my dinner leftovers that night) and my husband had a breakfast order for lunchtime . I believe homemade hash with the standard egg and whatnot but the French toast with fruit drizzled with sweetness looked more of a dessert. Words can’t do it justice & have pics of our explosion of flavor from Farmhouse Diner, but I’m not seeing how to post! Service was phenomenal too! Wish it was closer to home bc it would be my #1 stop...

I love this place! Taken me too long to write this but I always do as promised. I popped in after Christmas during a family visit - live in London. Robin was kind enough to make me a patty melt which was delicious. Lovely lady behind the counter - apologies for not remembering your name. I took some pancakes home for my daughter when ch she enjoyed hugely. I enjoyed the banter with the local gents sitting at the counter. If you like a diner with real people and real food this is the best you can get. Thanks...
