La Playa Grill — Restaurant in Leisure City

View is absolutely beautiful!!! However the restaurant itself is rundown, unclean and the food is extremely overpriced! They are very dishonest when it comes to the bill and tips. They add an automatic 15% on the bill and if you choose to give more be careful. We always give at least 20% when service is good. So we went to pay our bill, they brought out a machine, I asked to add 20% tip so they selected 20% on the machine. After looking at my bill, they charged the 20% on TOP of the 15% "service fee" AND taxes. They charged me 20% on top of the whole bill not just our food. First of all that's Illegal, second it's extremely dishonest! We used to dine there all the time without paying attention... after realizing they are so sneaky we haven't returned. Not a good way to retain loyal customers, they would be more successful if they were more honest. We're locals so we've seen how they prey on tourists, especially people visiting from the races 🏁 Word of advice, please please please be careful. If at all possible pay with CASH! AND NEVER FORGET TO CHECK YOUR BILL! We realize it was our fault for being so trusting, but you live and you learn. Lesson definitely learned! Best...

Well let’s start off by saying I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. The threat of this restaurant is worse then wishing death on an enemy. I ordered water within the first three minutes I have my entree now and still do not have water (oh I finished the meal and still did not get water) . I ordered an unsweetened iced tea, oh did I forget to mention I asked for ICED, it came out with no ice and luke warm, good is a lie it tasted like a fresh batch of pizza dough, delicious if that’s what you want in a drink. The chairs you sit on also are sticky like they haven’t been cleaned since opening night. As I only had one meal I can only speak for myself but the chicken tenders I had looked like ancient dinosaur fossils. Also a place that serves, chicken fingers, fries, burgers, hotdogs, etc. you would assume they would own a bottle of ketchup, but no I recieved three packets of ketchup that were thrown on the table. The bathroom don’t even get me started,how does the restaurant pass health violation codes with that bathroom I mean DISGUSTING. Mold and mildew around faucets, light switches, the grout in the floor. Don’t forget to mention the dirty hair...

Horrible customer service. Our waitress Merlis was horrible omg horrible and no customer service experience. I arrived with 5 kids, my smallest one was 1. I asked the waitress for a high chair (ignored me) a nice gentleman that works there was kind enough to offer and bring me one. I was not given napkins, utensils to eat and to top it off the waitress didn't even ask if we wanted to drink anything. Because she was too busy standing in a corner vapping with another employee. I had to ask a kind guy that was cleaning tables if the waitress was going to take my order he quickly looked for her. She took our order and didn't write. I asked for well done burgers and got a bloody burger nasty. Waited 1h38m For my order when I sent my burger back she got upset and kept saying 5min 5min like 4x. I had to tell her if in 5min my order isn't ready I don't want it. Guess what it was late. Then showed up almost 2hr after I had originally ordered my food with an attitude.
