Sr Jose Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Leland

Out of all the years I've been coming to this restaurant, I've never sat at the bar and witnessed the unsanitary behavior and unfair treatment I've encountered. Today, I looked at the artwork displayed on the wall black men working on the railroad. Not one HBCU shown. The bartenders / waiters/ waitresses eat out of the fruits that garnish the drinks. I saw one waiter take the spoon he stirred the drink for a customer and placed it in his hand, then turned his back to me, and slurped the drink from his hands without washing his hand he carried on about his business. We sat down for dinner and waited several minutes for the waitress to take our order. Then there was a power outage briefly, and the computers went down which is how they input orders to the chef, I'm guessing. While we waited on our food order, we were told it was coming soon. As we kept waiting, the waitress, who didnt speak hardly any english, came and asked us what our order was cause it WASNT put into the system to be made. I called in, placed my order, and my order was ready on time. Everyone was so friendly! The steaks and baked potatoes were really big and the shrimp, rice, beans, mixed vegetables, and chips & salsa were plentiful. They even give you butter, sour cream, and shredded cheese for your baked potatoes.
