Probably wouldn't eat here again. The interior was nice enough, but the waitress we had was inattentive at best and unpersonable at worst, and the food was rather bland.
The blandness of the food was a mystery for my family, as we'd all gotten main dishes that normally lend themselves to flavor. My father got pad woon sen that came with no sauce and no seasoning; my mother got a teriyaki bento box with blanched vegetables that watered down what little sauce there was to nearly nothing; I got katsudon ramen that had little of the richness expected from something made with pork. On top of that, we had also gotten bowls of tom kha soup for a starter, and it tasted not of spice, but entirely of coconut milk.
Well, the mystery was partly solved when we got the receipt for the bill, and all three of us had, "no spice" annotations. This wouldn't have been an issue if we had mentioned that we had wanted no spice, but the waitress hadn't even asked us what we'd wanted as far as spice. In fact, communicating anything we wanted during the meal was a hassle. She would swing by every so often and ask if we needed anything, and as we'd start speaking, she would turn around and walk away. Mind you, this was NOT during a lunch rush; while we were eating, there were only two other filled tables in the whole place.
It was, altogether, a disappointing outing for the family. The food was a disappointment, and has been altered in a way we did not ask for, and we didn't exactly feel a sense of welcome...
Read moreNew (early 2018) Thai-Japanese restaurant. Indoor booths/tables & outdoor seating, great lunches and dinner and dessert menu. Beer, wine, sake list. Dined with family a few times and everytime the food was fresh and flavorful, vegetables crisp, cooked just right. Authentic spices, curries, and Thai fish sauce use. Excellent sushi with visually beautiful flourishes; edible flower petals were even used as an exquisite garnish on some sushi plates. Mom said the perfectly crisp exterior, tender chicken tempura was the best she's had so far (and she's been to many Thai places). My sister declared the crab Rangoon appetizer to be the best of all places she's tried; tasted home made with savory chunks of seafood. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian selections, even with the lunch specials. Generous portions for the fair prices. Japanese and Thai style bento box lunches, along with a low priced Thai lunch menu with numerous selections. Wheelchair accessible, some easy accessible parking front of restaurant and additional parking nearby in main lot to the...
Read moreI have visited this place over 10 times because it is the closest sushi restaurant to me and the sushi is okay - nothing spectacular but also I’ve had much worse. The reason I am giving one star is because these people operate the stingiest restaurant I have EVER BEEN TO. They will barely give you any sauce and when you ask for extra they charge for every. little. thing. Meanwhile as I said, I have been here over 10 times and have spent plenty of money at this establishment. Even when I order to go, I always tip them 20%. Well last time we were here my husband ordered a coke to drink and had 3 refills, he asked for one to go as we were leaving and they said they would have to charge us for another coke..... I have been to so many restaurants and this has never once happened when we have asked for a drink to go. I am appalled at the lack of service they provide even to loyal customers. I will NEVER EVER go back and will drive 25 mins for better quality sushi and service elsewhere. Stay away. These people have no idea what...
