I ordered a sope and two tacos, hoping for a tasty start to my weekend. The tacos were fine, but the sope? Let’s just say it needed a little more time in the oven or on the grill or in any form of heat, really. When I bit into it, I was met with the unmistakable taste of raw masa, like someone had just patted it together and wished it luck. Then came the cantarito. I was expecting that refreshing tequila-citrus kick… instead, I got lemonade. Not even fancy lemonade just plain, icy, disappointment in a cup. If there was alcohol in there, it must’ve ghosted me. And don’t even get me started on the service. It was so slow I started to wonder if they were growing the ingredients from scratch. It wasn’t even busy just a chill, late Saturday afternoon on Mother’s Day weekend, which you’d think would call for a little more hustle. At one point, I started contemplating whether I should help out in the kitchen just to get things moving. All in all, it was an experience not the one I hoped for, but definitely one I’ll remember. Next time, I’ll bring my own tequila and a frying pan, just in case.

Came here for a weekday happy hour party of 2. This is a big space with plenty of seating both tables and booths as well as a bar. We ordered margaritas, chicken nachos, and a carnitas plate. The food was really good everything was hot and fresh and the prices were reasonable. Im disappointed it wasn’t actually guacamole on the nachos just blended up avocado, it irks me when people advertise guacamole and it’s not actually guacamole. The margarita was ok. The only reason for 4/5 stars is the service was lacking. There were long waiting periods throughout our meal although it was pretty empty inside I believe because she was handling multiple sections. We had to wait about 10 min for her to come into the area to flag her down for more salsa and had to wait 15 min for our check. Once you have your check you pay at the front. Overall I’d definitely come back because the food & pricing was good just hope the customer service is a little better.

EDIT: 10 May 2025 Well, third time’s the charm, right? I called ahead and was told—great news—they finally got their liquor license three weeks ago. Naturally, I decided to give this place one last try. I ordered the Don Mango, which came out to $20.99 (surprise! no prices on the menu—gotta love the mystery). For that price, I expected at least a splash of alcohol. Instead, I got what tasted like a melted mango lollipop in a glass. If there was booze in it, it was hiding better than our waiter. Speaking of which—service was a disaster. We waited over 20 minutes just to flag someone down for the check and a to-go box. And to top it all off, there was a guy with black hair in a red shirt giving us nasty looks for no reason. He spent more time chatting up the table next to us than doing anything else. It got pretty annoying—like, cool story bro, but we came here to eat, not listen to your autobiography. Definitely not coming back.

WARNING The worst dining experience ever. They want to charge for every little thing like cheese, sour cream, etc. If you want sour cream a burrito, "Oh that will be a $2 charge" you want cheese "That will be another $1". When I asked for more chips and salsa, the waitress took the empty chip basket and we left the salsa on the table. Well she brought back more chips (with a hair on a chip and did not make a big fuss about) but not extra salsa, at least bring another salsa to the table instead we had to tell her. When I was ordering, I was speaking in English, Noemi was looking at me confused, and was talking back to me in Spanish (she assumed I knew the language), well I don't know Spanish if not I would talk back to her kindly in Spanish.

First I asked for a Veggie Burrito since I am vegetarian, I asked what it came with, she wasn't sure and said a few items. I said "are you serious it does not come with cheese or sour cream?" She said that would be extra and more expensive to add items and I should order a Veggie Burrito Bowl since it comes with more items that I want. I proceeded to order a Veggie Burrito Bowl and I asked Noemi what it came with, she rolled her eyes and stated the items. I received my food, it did not have cheese in it. I asked about the cheese, she said it would be another charge. As I was finishing, I thought let me check the menu online to make sure. Sure enough it said Cheese and Bell Peppers included, I did not receive these items in my plate. I questioned her about it as and she stated she would "have to charge extra for the cheese" and I stated "why if it comes with it" and showed her the menu. She didn't say anything and threw the to go box on the table and walked away.

I found out it was the manager, Noemi, who was our waitress and was very rude. All I wanted to know was why I did not receive an item if the menu states it comes with it, and why would you charge extra if it came with it. Noemi had gone to lunch while we were eating, her twin sister was also a waitress and said I will take over for a few mins then left, she never checked on us. Another waitress came by to check on us (will not say her name since she stated she would get ousted by the other girls if we said anything good about her) and she was sweet and wonderful. I went to pay, the cashier was rude and threw the receipt at me.

Not sure if they have a clique going on between certain workers and family members working together. This is not acceptable. I understand it's their business and they can charge what they want. BUT IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE CHARGED EXTRA FOR ITEMS AND LIE ABOUT THINGS ON THE MENU DO NOT GO THERE. They are rude, do not smile, and throw things at your table. I thought I could give them a chance. Gross and negative experience. Noemi is the worst manager and...

I'm not sure what has happened lately, but today I went with my father for lunch. Keep in mind, my wife and I have come here quite often since the opening. I'm honestly disappointed to write this review, especially since this place used to be one of my favorite spots to eat in town. This was also my father's first time here.

Long story short, they messed up my food order—which wasn’t a big deal at first. I went back up to the counter to confirm the order for the second time because what I received was completely different from what I had originally ordered. I simply wanted to make sure the kitchen didn’t waste food again and that I was paying for what I actually ordered.

Instead of understanding, the staff got upset. All I was doing was communicating clearly—not complaining. One of the staff members got snappy and said, “Well, they are busy back there and you will get your food...” The irony is, there was nobody else in the restaurant except my father and me.

I just wanted to enjoy lunch with my dad. They messed up the order and then tried to make it seem like it was my fault. That’s fine. When I said I wouldn’t be coming back, she didn’t care. I didn’t want free food; I just wanted them to take accountability. I wasn’t even looking for an apology—just sincere, respectful service.

I understand people have bad days, and that’s okay. But they showed no interest in rectifying the situation and basically blew me off.

Good luck with the new...
