extremely rude OWNER!!! All I can say about this place is that I wouldn't recommend anyone give them your business if you think being kind and courteous as a buisness owner is important or just being a person in general!! I went here for about a year faithfully whenever my family went out for breakfast UNTIL..... We went out one Sunday morning and I ordered a belgain waffle. I cant have butter so I asked that it be plain. when my waffle came out 45 minutes later it was completely cold. I mean COLD it was also now hard. I had two bites and decided I was not going to eat it. I don't like to complain so i just ate my other food and went about my business. A waitress asked if everything was ok, my boyfriend stated my waffle was cold and she brought it back to warm it up. she was very kind. When my waffle came back the owner himself brought it over. He threw it on the table in front of me and walked away with out a word. I was so shocked he acted this way. The waffle was the same waffle they brought back, put it on the grill and heated it up and then smothered it with a 1/4 cup of butter. i just looked at it and put it aside. once again I dont like to complain so i just finished the rest of my food. the owner noted that i was not eating the waffle and came over to me and began to yell as me as to how I can send back a waffle and not eat it. then proceeded to ask why I was not eating it. I replied that I cant have butter. In short he told me I should never go out to eat I am a witch and am too picky. Really Im picky because i don't want to eat a cold waffle, ok fine. Then he takes a BITE out of it states it tastes fine, well maybe it would taste ok if i could have butter and its drenched in it. He took it away took it off the bill and was literally yelling at me as he walked away calling me names!!! I paid my bill with no tip and was just trying to leave when he chased me out of the parking lot and called me a bi*h, Cnt and to never come bcak.. Really I'm POSITIVE...
Read moreWe have tried this place 3 times now. The thing that makes this review 1-star instead of a mediocre 2-3 star is their view on delivery.
They keep a sign in from that says "we deliver breakfast!" but what it really means is "We deliver some of your breakfast order sometimes when we feel like it but not ever on weekends. Screw you."
I have tried ordering breakfast from them about 4 times now and they only actually agreed to deliver once. The woman who answered the phone claims that she runs the delivery but sent a male delivery driver so, not sure what that means... Anyway, they charged us for all of the items and then forgot one and refused to drive it out to us but claimed they would "comp us on our next visit" (not going to happen. Fat Boys has better food & is closer!!!)
I have NEVER experienced such crappy customer service and never had a restaurant screw up and respond with the diplomatic version of "sucks to suck"
Now, the food...
The corned beef hash (in restaurant) is canned. gross.
My waffles (in restaurant) were not hot.
The eggs (delivered) were FULL of egg shells. Seriously. Did not even eat them.
Their bacon looks & tastes like the pre-cooked bacon I had back in the dorm cafeteria once upon a time.
Save your time, money, tastebuds and stomach the trouble and go to Fat Boys where the corned beef hash is always fresh, the pancakes are huge, the orange juice is squeezed in-house, the staff is friendly and, best of all, they don't make...
Read moreWest End Diner Leominster, MA has such an elaborate interesting menu with amazing combinations, I could go back every week for 6 months and try a different creative and delicious dish each time. My husband and I went a couple weeks ago and I'm still thinking about this meal.
We split a side pancake (aka just 1, which is perfect) of the Apple & Walnut. I'm not super into walnuts and couldn't help but imagine it being like an Apple & Oat pancake, and it was. There were also pieces of apples in the batter! 😋
They had a special called an Italian Breakfast which was meatballs and 2 eggs with a side of toast. I made myself an open faced meatball poached egg sandwich and it was amazing. 🤤
The home fries were crispy, seasoned with spices, and delicious.
Husband got the country fried steak with white gravy, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. "Very yummy. Very good!"
The previous time we got a banana bread french today with strawberries!
Splitting and sharing various breakfast items is the best. I'm a lucky foodie lady.
Thank you West End Diner for the delicious, creative combos and filling serving sizes! I...
