Kimmie K's Cafe — Restaurant in Leoni Township

If I could give no stars for this place I would. My family and I went here to get breakfast at Kimmies Cafe in Michigan Center and soon as we walked in we were treated with disrespect. My five year old grandson was approached and instantly greeted with a suppose to be joke. Which turned out to be a racist joke. The guy approached him more than once like he was trying to make him remember the joke. None of us found it to be funny, so the man eventually walked away. The lady that was a waitress stood behind the counter like she was disgusted and not happy that she had to serve us. At this point we all looked at each and decided to leave, because who wants to eat at place that really doesn’t want you there. I’m sick to my stomach that my grand baby had to experience racism first hand from a supposedly grown man. To all that work here please do better. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. RACIST ……LONG POST !I Was Visiting From Out Of Town With Family . Walked In And We Were Met By A White Male (don’t know if he worked there or was a regular ) First Thing He Said Was A Monkey Joke to my 5 year old nephew . This restaurant is a nice place to go and grab a quick bite to eat or sit back and relax with family and friends. The service and food was very fast and our cups were always full. The portion sizes were large and we took back leftovers. Prices are fair and reasonable, making a tip very affordable. I recommend trying this cafe if you have not yet done so.
