Bella's Cookies — Restaurant in Lewes

This place is a rare gem! I live in VA and visit family and friends in the coastal Delaware area often — despite not living in DE I had no issue finding Bella’s Cookies to pick up my order. For those of us who don’t have “ the world as our oyster”, so to speak, we do not mind taking the time to make an appointment to pick up special bakes that are as amazing as the cookies and cupcakes I picked up yesterday afternoon! I am not ashamed to say that most of these incredibly delicious treats did not survive our 2.5 hrs. drive back home — as I could not stop eating them while telling my spouse the entire drive home how amazing the cupcakes and cookies are…were! My spouse who has no special dietary restrictions, like myself, and is usually my “normal” blind taste tester also agreed and raved about how moist and delicious the cupcakes were, and the perfectly baked cookies (crisp on outside with a chewy-yumminess on the inside). I have finally found the one!! … not spouse, but bakery, Bella’s Cookies! Thank you so much Kelly Leishear for all your hard work, dedication, and passion while infusing your culinary artistic talents and perfecting the science of baking! I mean, WOW! Whoa! Where do I start with this amazing bakery? The owner? The DELICIOUS cupcakes or the to die for cookies?? Well, to make it short and simple… Kelly the creator and owner of this bakery is absolutely wonderful, she is educated, kind, & spontaneous. You will leave her bakery with a smile on your face! I absolutely praise this bakery because it’s VEGAN, ORGANIC & CLEAN. You will not find another bakery in Delaware that’s vegan and uses such clean, pure ingredients, let alone, everything taste AMAZING. The cupcakes melt in your mouth and the cookies are so soft they resemble a cake. Kelly also did the cake & cupcake arrangements for my daughters 4th vegan birthday party. We called her a few days before her birthday party and she made it happen even though she was booked! She made an amazing Frozen theme cake & cupcakes for us & nobody could believe they were vegan. My husband and I started searching for a baker months in advance for our sons 1st birthday. The reason being is because our son has a rare disease called FPIES. He is unable to have Oats, wheat, rice, & soy. If he does have even just a teaspoon of one of them, he throws up for hours. On top of having FPIES, hes allergic to eggs & peanuts. We were expecting to call around to quite a few places to see if anyone was willing to take on this difficult task. THANK GOODNESS FOR BELLA'S COOKIES!! Kelly was very eager and determined to create the perfect cake for our son. She kept in contact, giving me updates on his cake and even sent me the ingredient list to check over to make sure our son could have everything. The end result was absolutely amazing!! Our son loved it and everyone that tried it was impressed and enjoyed it very much! We are so truly grateful for Kelly, she really did make my son a fantastic cake! I highly recommend...
