I had my son and grandson visit couple weeks ago from Texas. So I planned a lobster feast with his siblings. I CALLED AND ASK for the price of the 11/4 lb. Lobster. They told me the price was $6.49 a pound. Also on the phone I asked if I had to preorder cause I was looking at 30 lobsters. They said they had them. So my daughter lives in the area, so I had her pick them up. She said she was there to pick up 30 lobsters, 1 1/4 lb. Instead of being charged $6.49 we were charged $10.98 a pound!!! When my daughter questioned it they said that price was for 1 pound lobsters. She didn't know so she picked them up. It was over 400 dollars. Their competitors had a hell of a better price. Over 4 dollars a pound for a 1/4 pound of meat. It would have been cheaper to go to Hannaford. A lesson learned. You got my business once, but you WILL NEVER SEE ME THERE AGAIN. I should have listened to my neighbor and go to New Auburn!!! Mr. Sea's never again and I love to...
Read moreNo word of a lie, this is THE best lobster I have ever had! It's the most unassuming place - literally just an outdoor seafood stand. I ordered the "Shore Dinnah" which is a whole lobster, clams, and corn on the cob. They put it all in a net bag, put it outside in the steamer, and 20 minutes later, you have an unbelievable meal! All shore dinners are made to order, but other menu items are readily available. We also had fried clams, scallops, and a lobster roll - all delicious! So authentically good, and so glad to support a local small business. The staff were all very young when we were there, and super courteous and hard-working. Made us wonder if they were family because it's really hard to find people who care that much. We stopped here on a whim, and it ended up being one of the best meals ever! They're open year round, so we'll...
Read moreWe found this unassuming gem on our way to Acadia from Portland. We were hungry for lunch and this came up as a 10 minute detour on the map. The ten minutes seemed to take forever and once we got there, there was another wait for the food to be cooked. I was looking for a lobster roll but they call it a lobster salad if you want the mayo-based and a clear meat roll with melted butter if you ask for it. This was ok but I think the hamburger bun detracted from the experience. However, the real highlight was the sea scallop boat. It was a tray of large sweet and juicy scallops with some thick cut fries. The scallops were the best I had the whole trip and in a very long time, maybe ever. The fries were also good: crispy and had a good ratio of potato to surface area. This is worth the detour and may become a permanent stop when we...
