People can say what they want- but this is our favorite chocolate that comes out of Pennsylvania. We make the 3 hour trip a couple times a year to try to grab the wonderful options they have. (It used to be a 6 hour plane ride and Ashers was still a must-have stop)
From their Easter eggs, to chocolate covered smores, pretzels, and chips to their classic assortment and delicious caramel, this place is a trip worth taking.
When I was very young I got to tour the factory with my girlscout troup- I wish our kids could get a chance to do a tour.
It is a wonderful atmosphere with helpful employees, and the store is always clean and organized.
We toured an Aircraft Carrier in San Diego and there were Ashers Chocolates for sale. My husband pointed them out to me and a woman infront of us told us that she vacationed in PA just to come to the Ashers store in Lewistown....

Read moreI was so disappointed today, black Friday, when my husband and I went to buy candy for Christmas and the store in Lewistown only had a few Christmas themed candy items for sale! They were still selling white chocolate ghosts from Halloween. We always get Christmas candy for family members on black Friday or dear lonely ladies day at Asher's (Goss's). How can they be so unprepared for the biggest Christmas shopping weekend...
