Will never go back to this place again……I was told by the manger, “ that’s ok if you don’t” I will say I have been there before and the food was good. This time I ordered shrimp and grits. When it was brought to the table it looked more like watery poop water, it was cold and it was too spicy for me. I asked them to take it back and they did. However they still charged me for it! Yea…. That’s right they charged me for food I didn’t eat and when I question them about it, I was told they weren’t going to remove the charge because there wasn’t anything wrong with the food! When I remarked I would not be back, I was rudely told, “that’s ok too”. Absolute worse customer service I have ever experienced! My complaint was dismissed as though I did something wrong. The food was awful, the service was awful and the “managers” response to my legitimate complaint was unprofessional and rude! Did I say I would never be back??? Yea, and apparently they don’t care. We might be back. It was our first visit. We had read great reviews, so we had great expectations..... but, alas, maybe it was an "off" night. Food - and service were both just "ok". The food quality didn't quite match the price. I made a reservation as it was my wife's birthday. I specifically asked for a corner table, as it was a special occasion. Instead, we were seated at the 3rd table on the left side - which, unfortunately, was too close to the very cold, and frequently opening front door. The corner tables remained open until well after we were served. Jackson is not too far away. Update based on M&M response: Additional Contact WAS made - requesting a table in the back. Main & Monroe was awesome! This was my first time here, and I promise you that I will definitely be going back! The atmosphere was wonderful! The service was the best! ( Everyone knows how hard it is to get good service these days! ) They have actual chefs that cook HUGE portions, and the food is great! ( Again, everyone knows how hard it is to get great food and large portions today, as well!) They serve drinks if that's what you want, too. It's a nice place to take the whole family. Really, the whole experience was wonderful! I have no complaints! I spoke with the owner and he was very nice. Everyone was. Every weekend, they have different bands singing.
